Subject: »NEWS AROUND THE WORLD

What one side deems as a military target, the other side sees as a civilian target. Leave alone the question what is "moral".

According to customary international humanitarian law, participants in an armed conflict are not allowed to use indiscriminate attacks. I.e. attacks that are not targeted at military objectives or use weapons that cannot be directed at a military objective.

And I prefer to leave the question of what the law says alone. 'Cause I don't care for the law. It's not because it's the law that it's right.

Hi guys :-),

I am reading (I had a short pause) that this problem and theme is always active :-D. You wrote really a lot of pages here :-).

I had to say just one thing. This problem is not going to be solved, but I can not say that there is one good side and another bad. Actually, if I look just on current situation, Israel are more human that Palestinians and Israel like future connected with peace and prosperity much more than Arabs.
There is just problem, that this situation grow up from very far past times so everything what Palestinians are doing have reason. OK, now they are really just fanatics terrorist abusing their childs, but this is just sad product of past times.

I am not gonna taking somebody's side there, as I told to NoWhereMan at the past, this problem will be solved before one side will vanish for ever. Maybe a big war there can solve it, sorry, but I am tired of looking on bad news in TV. Solved it or killed each other but there is really time to end this conflict and sorry that I dont care who will win :-(.

If I am jew, I would never go and settle among Arab fanatics, but ok, you wanted that land, so enjoy it. I am maybe too much honest, but as I said, I am tired of looking on killing there every day and I am not talking that it is jews mistake. (or only jews mistake) Arab are religion fanatics, we all know it.

If you want to eradicate the disease, kill the patient!
Nice medecine isn't it ?

Imho it's a never ending story.
In conflict solving, the right way is foriveness and cleverness but I don't see a big amount of that stuff among the two protagonists... :(

Majority of CzechoSlovaks know from history how is it when is rogue agenda trying to dismantle democratic country. People stop care about this propaganda and how your politicans are trying to persuade you about 2-country solution.

Palestinians have practically self-governance already, there is Palestinian embassy in Prague, some talented students learn in Czech universities...with combination of killing Hamas it should work in some years. But creation of Arab country in Israel now, when terrorists control much of its territory, would be terrible mistake.

We have created already some failed states like Kosovo, but it at least they do not endanger peoples lives. Middle East is much worse region. There are already cases like Lebanon and Syria, God knows how will be development in Egypt. Iran is prepared to use Arabs for own goals. There is widespread anti-liberal sentiment in region. Western politicians need to think wisely who to support and why.

In Israeli political scene play religious parties small role in comparision with another countries, its more like bordeline. And even Likud is liberal in comparision with any islamic party. I understand that for Dutch its like different apples but for me is difference very clear.

Would there be any change, compared to before?
Well, they have the same status as Vatican City. But I'd like to see them as a full member (putting Israel and Palestine on an equal basis), but we all know that will not happen very soon due to those ridiculous veto-rights.
Surely also because of colonization made by Israel... What could be the state of Palestine ? 1967 borders ? 1947 ones ? Nowadays ones ?
1967.
Why would you choose these borders ?

For me, i'd have chosen those too because it would be an average solution. If we'd take the 1947 ones, it would be unfair due to arab agression suffered by Israel... Nowadays borders would give a puzzled state for palestinain people too hard to use (economically and security parts at least).
With the 1967 borders, Palestine state would have a land big enough to permit to his diaspora people to come back from neighbourer's countries... few millions people could come back...
But what to do with the israel's colonies ? Two solutions : these israel people would live into a foreign state : Palestine and would thus have to respect thos new rules... Or, let those people to comeback into Israel state with financial compensations.
Or, let those people to comeback into Israel state with financial compensations.

If Israel is willing to pay them, fine, but those colonists knew they were building their homes illegally in Palestinian territory.
