And there it is. The Catholic Church has a new pope. He is called Pedophilius, but they are uncertain about whether he is the first one.

there was info about Bergoglio that he used to denounce left-wing priests (from the Society of Jesus) to the military junta dictature in Argentina, who were later tortured etc.

Your comment Levitate, is malicious and fallacious or at least uninformed. I do not understand as the moderator of this forum do not present bans until a public apology. I'm not a practicing Catholic but sadly as South American surprise me that a European speaks with such disrespect.

The allegations in reference to Bergoglio relationship with the military juntas in Argentina were refuted by Argentines who suffered persecution in those years and several have said that the new pope intervened on several occasions to intercede and prevent acts of violence against them.
People who believe are disrespecting common sense and people who do care about things that can be proven and not only make belief and bed time story's.
The belief of a person is just that, "belief" and meanwhile you do not believe you should not impose feel your "common sense" offended. Another thing to lie maliciously about life (not belief) of someone, this use is something that we are used to seeing in Argentina and was surprised to discover that the "supposedly civilized" Europeans also practice it.
Sorry, freedom of speech. And yeah, the Catholic Church has no good historic record on dealing with pedophilia. That's what I was aiming for, not the person of Bergoglio itself (actually, he has made a good impression).

Just freedom of speech exists to defend the truth and the best, way to hold it is to use it judiciously and justice. As for pedophilia, I personally would cut the balls to priests and laity that committed but also publicly endorsed the first pope to move away from the Vatican to cover up a bishop suspected pedophiles in USA and I think everybody should.

Believers believe, which doesn't mean, they know for sure. When there is no proof, you can choose whether you believe or not. Many people don't believe in any God, but accept the fact, that several beliefs exist in a subject, we don't really know anything about.
Radical atheists however claim, they know that God doesn't exist, and who doesn't share their opinion are disrespecting common sense. So your argument is stronger, you should prove it. From my point of view your opinion disrespects human logic, until we find a 100% proof.

You can never find prove of something that has never excist. That's the whole joke in this story.
It's impossible to prove something that has never been there, simply because it never was around.
