We don't know who placed the bombs, and all things considered, it's a minor attack.
Wel you see in in the news and thats about it. Almost nobody is standing still with the victims and there family.
But because it's in the US. Everbody has to care and feel for them...bunch of hypocrites.

I understand the media part. But that still doenst explain why people care about what happend in the states and not in other parts of the world.

It does. We care more for the people closer to us; family and friends are more important than strangers. Fellow Dutchmen - probably - are for you more important than the average Indian or Chinese guy. Americans are more important for Europeans than Asians, because they are closer to us. And that's even rational, because otherwise, society would be impossible (if you would care as much for the Syrians dying as for a family member or friend that is dying).
So yes, it is logical, but I think it's ridiculous that they (the media) dramatize this. For instance, our public channel had an extra (special) news broadcast because of it. Come on, three people died. A tragedy. But then again: three people. Thousands of Syrians have died. Though that has been in the news for months now, that should still be more important than three dead Americans, regardless of the logic of Americans being closer than Syrians.
But yeah, the media give the people what they want to see: misery. And less intelligent people will see this as a Muslim attack, regardless of the facts. People use tragedies to push their political agenda (I spit on people who use kids for it), and the truth has to get out of the way. That is the real tragedy.

there's one thing more that pushes his event importance. the fact that similar events in the past leaded to war or to reactions of USA gov. In fact great evidence is given to Obama's reaction.
It is normal that this event can be saw as an antifact for something else.. and so it get a bigger attention that it would deserve.

I like to talk about my country Venezuela and I want toknow an international opinion about what is happening.
I´m clearly oppositor of this "goberment"but for give you some idea of what´s going on, I try to be the most objective as I can.
The last sunday was the elections of "the son of chavez" as Nicolas Maduro named himself, we named him "the bird wishper", those elections was marked with a lot of irregularities during and after the elections day.
1-"votes assisted" - When some guy is watching aside from you while your voting
example of one of the cases:
2-"More votes than voters" - In many election centers registered with 500 voters (for example), totaled more than 700 votes. If you multiply 200 extra votes for 500 elections centers (for example), you get at least 100.000 cheat votes
3-"Opening of ilegal election centers" - there´s accusations of about 9.000 non register election center in the country. Those was opening in goberment offices, pdvsa, oficialis mayoralties (I think is the word), even in some accusations of some voting machines in the house of some members of the national assembly. there some picts of something weard here: http://casablancapublicidad.wix.com/pran#!untitled/zoom/mainPage/image226y
4-"criminals Vs Audit" - at the end of the elections days we made audit to the election centers... some criminals in bikes (aligned with the gobernment) came in a lot of election centers with guns to kick out the house members so they can do whatever they want with the voting machine withoutany supervision.
5."ID plus infinite" - there was cases with some people with many ID´s. There is an acussation of one member of the goberment carrying people with 40 ID´s. Other cases with people named "Batman", "Superman" and other superheros, another cases of people voting with 120 years old.
after all of this, CNE (the referee) with its president (100% aligned with the gobernment) says nicolas maduro won.
Opposition leader enrique capriles radonski is requesting a recount of the 100% of the votes and voting acts because he says he won.
This is what´s happening not mention the actitud of nicolas maduro of denied the recounting of the votes and saying he won fair and all the offensive speech this last days and menacing to put in jail the opposition leader to make violence in the country

well, in my country, when election, there is no one stand behind the voters. and we vote i a portable room and the enter door closed with cloth.
each party have 1 witness at 1 voting place. and the party pay them during the election.
there is also eyewitness from university for each voting place and some watcher institute specially for watching the election at all voting place.
more voters then votes some time exceed too. but it can be reduce with eye witness at the voting place.
about double ID, it happened too here. but our government try to fixed it. by new ID programe. so one person only can have 1 ID, no matter where he move to live in this country.
and still always there is cheat case after every election.

that is the problem that I mentioned in the point 4. Criminals were sent to electoral centers to kick out those members and witness. In many cases with guns and even shoot to scare them.

Exactly, but i'd add that media give people every new tradegy they can to blind everyone into tragedy... Syrian deaths are online for too much time... Here we all saw blood on the street, in directlive, with many view angles, every media could use all the "nice" same experts of terrorism to come and tell us every thing everyone has heard days ago, month ago, years ago... Only one thing for not being a sheep... See or hear info no more than 2 sec. to just see facts only facts... And terror is really good for politics to keep the sheeps around them.
