Hmm it seems that when Maduro hasnt Chavez´s charisma and cant effectively take its "Revolución bolivariana", they will simply use Cuban socialism and its leader Castro. I think its just symbolism of SA socialist movement. It fits to their traditional antiamericanism and populism.
He believes Europe is colonized by Germany because Germany dictates its will on the other EU members. So the EU flag represents the German colonization for him.
wtf, will Fidel be ur new El Presidente?
Seem like maduro is an employee from Castro, nothing more. That´s my opinon

what? I don't really see where, if some german multinational companies expand in Italy, that has nothing to do with germany per se.
I was kidding on the FACT that german goverment rules us.

I agree, I have no real knowledge about it, but I doubt Cuba has the power (military or economically) to actually take control of a country like venezuela, one way or the other.
I dont think it is a matter of fighting against a control, I think is a matter of "giving" the control. We starting to see the huge diference between chavez and his team. Maybe chavez will agreed many of the cuban regimen but I doubt he let the cubans get control of Venezuela because Chavez wants the control of the country, he always wants to be the boss, that was this guy.
But with chavez dead, Cuba needs Venezuela, we give them oil and they pay us with "doctors" and "sport trainners" (like if we need them). Also Venezuela pays the wage of this cuban workers (So is like given the oil by free). Now on, maduro without charisma or intelligence "could" advice with the Castros just to maintain the revolution in the power.

Now you give some of the oil to Cuba, before Chavez profits after oil went to Western companies.
Chavez used some of the oil to buy some political influence in Latin-America. Whether it's good for your people or not, that's a good question, but saying that Cuba has colonized you is a bit strong.
Before 1990 we got loads of oil, natural gas, iron, coal, etc from the Russians for bugger all, yet it would be quite funny to say that Hungary had colonized the Sovietunion. From here, it rather seems that Venezuela tries to take the Soviet role (they did the same with Cuba too before), and hasn't been colonized.

The French love la Patrie, the Americans love their guns and the Germans hate inflation. Got to love the Germans :-)
well your right, I dont think the kremlin would hosted an hungarian flag in those days.
I think this thing of colony can´t be public, if you made public all the interference of another country problably the people that supports you can start to giving the back.
The thing about the colony we "think" we are converting is not for the oil we are giving to cuba by free, is that so, then nicaragua and other countrys wich recieved the oil in exchange for influence could be consider as owners of venezuela.
We not host flags of nicaragua or argentina o uruguay or the rest of the countrys taking profits from us except from cuba... Is something else underground. And I dont think it would be crazy for saying it, because is like to say a country is democratic just because has elections.

I think it's simply an ideological and political choice (la revolucion cubana etc..).
Remember that USA used to call south america "their home garden" until 10 years ago, so maybe it's necessary to show someway a different "flag" to pretend to be indipendent from Washington.
Anyway again I think I can't really understand what to prefer between the 2 choices. Maybe it necessary to understand what of this choices can lead you to a real democracy (free press, free elections, no violence, human right garancy etc)

Maintaining good relations with USA is to any SA country profitable. Pushing own interets its not bad, but taking Castro´s side is just dull.
I wonder if you can really choose what to do.
Cuba is a powerless flag. Under it some other countries hides theirselves.
