VivaChe to VivaChe
If you are disrespectful towards other people and hide behind you "freedom of speech" that has nothing to do with freedom of speech.

Why are you talking to yourself?

If you are disrespectful towards other people and hide behind you "freedom of speech" that has nothing to do with freedom of speech.

And actually, it does. With freedom of speech comes the freedom to insult. That IS freedom of speech. Saying what you want (without making a threat on violence, but violence is not an opinion).

Well by law insulting is usually a crime that should give some people a hint what is freedom of speech and what is freedom of speech.

Yes, I know the law makes some exceptions: for instance, religions are very often over protected. Just like denying the historical fact of the Holocaust. Just like racism. It's sad that there is a law against that. That's why I say we (I mean countries like Belgium, Netherlands or Germany) have quite some free speech, but not all of it. Unfortunately.
Not "very often". "Always."

Tell someone that you know that Cercle Brugge are the best team in Europe (despite the mountain of evidence to the contrary) and you'll be corrected.

Tell someone you know there's a god of some description and people might say something like, "well, that's your opinion, but I think, given the weight of evidence, that there is no god."

People are unwilling to go head to head with stupid beliefs if they are "protected" under the banner of religion. Chopping bits off your son's penis is child abuse. But if you do it on the 8th day (or whatever it is) under the auspices of being a jew then people won't mention it for fear of offending. (I only don't mention female circumcision because most of us don't come across it. It's far worse than the male version, but sadly the male version is more prevalent.)

I do not have the right to offend him, as he does not have the right to call me out as a pagan.

Well, you do have the moral right to offend him, and the law should not get in between.

That is the difference between freeedom of speech and simply offending someone just to feel superior in a way.

The latter is a part of the former. Forbidding to offend is restricting freedom of speech. I can understand (although I do not agree) that you are in favor of it, but that doesn't change the fact that is a limitation to free speech. Like Rowan Atkinson said, the solution to offensive free speech is more speech.

Everything can be interpreted as offensive free speech. And therefore, the government can - unlimited - restrict free speech if the government is allowed to restrict free speech if it is or could be offensive to anyone out there.

so,, what is the news arround the world now?
So if I would sit next to you and call you names or whatever stupid things I come up with, all day, I would follow you around, offending you where and when I get the chance you would say: "that is his freedom of speech it is his right".

Yes. (As long as you don't enter my property without my permission of course. My house, my rules.)

And as humans are not per se nice and gentle people you give them rules to live by.

But who says that that 'you' in your sentence is nice and gentle? Because they are a majority?

And forcing somebody to act nice doesn't make them nice. The only thing that happens then is that you create a hypocrite society
