It has nothing to do with trying to make yourself look cool. It has everything to do with defending personal freedom.
Interesting though that you had no arguments against the economics part, maybe a theory that has been there for 150 years and a book from MIT Press can actually get you to shut up.
Well, I strictly separate my economic views from my political ones. I know that to have an economic efficient free market, government regulation is necessary. I never denied that. I'm just defending personal freedom, whatever it costs and whatever the outcome is. It is your freedom to find that ridiculous.

Well shit. I totally disagree with that. Humans ARE nice. It's the minority that aren't, and if you're projecting your feelings on humanity as a whole, I suspect that you are in that minority and that's why you need restrictions on speech. Because you and those like you who you think are the whole of humanity and yet are a very small minority (thankfully) can't understand how the rest of us who would be decent for our entire lives could operate with no restrictions on our speech. You know what? It comes from inside. Those sort of filters are not needed to be backed up by law.

Yes, but sometimes it's difficult to recognize it when it is written in a language which is the native language of neither party in the conversation.
