'Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote.'
(Marvin Simkin)
I found a quote I taught Levitate must like really much ;)

It's a well-known quote. And it's right, isn't it? Just like truth ("most people think it's true, so it must be true"), freedom is not subject to a vote. If one thinks it should be, one should accept for instance the Jim Crow laws.
Freedom subject to a democratic vote is no freedom at all. I don't need public approval to practice my freedoms. That's why I don't call myself a democrat anymore (which most people don't understand; apparently, to a lot of people, there are only two ways: democracy or tyranny).
By the way, it's thought, not taught. You did not teach me anything when it comes to liberty ;-)

how about liberal? is it trully freedom?
Liberalism is freedom, until you want to belong to a group (like family, trade union, nation, etc).
I know my english isn't perfect, dont worry :p.
I have to agree with that quote too. Some basic rights should never be up for vote. And your freedom should never be limited if it is not fysical hurting others.

You should ask the guy from the quote. I'm guessing basic human rights and freedom.

Like classical liberals don't care for family. Like libertarians can't love their country.
Classical liberals don't forbid you to give up some liberty. They forbid you to force other people to give up their liberty.

Yes. And libertarianism (classical liberalism) is the only ideology that defends that exact idea: non-initiation of violence.

Freedom. Doing exactly what you want as long as you don't limit someone else's freedom.

And workers should not be allowed to join a trade union. ;)
Edit: classical liberals don't forbid anything, they just condemn things, and give all the rights to the employers to fire the workers they don't like, and all the rights to the producers to scam the consumers.

Where did I say that? I'm not sure on trade unions and cartels. How could you know my view, if even I'm not sure myself?
I didn't say anything about your views, I was talking about liberal views in general.
And how would you conclude that classical liberals in general forbid trade unions? (For native English speaking people, your sentence does not make any sense, as liberalism there is not what it is in continental Europe.)
