Mostly AJE - Al Jazeera English when it's about the middle east, I think that 1 is the best.

Yup, Al Jazeera is awesome. Also their tv is fine.

Yep, Courrier International is really a good one, but you have to understand French of course. And yes, I have more confidence in western media (mostly Western European, American is sometimes a bit ... unworldly).

Guys Al Jazeera is the worst, they take sides in conflicts.
Are other networks so bad your using Al jazeera for news?

For that people, who love democracy so much, for freedom of speech :-dDD

Police and protesters have clashed in Brussels, as European Union leaders are gathering there for a fresh attempt to address the EU's year-long debt crisis. Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Don't know what this has to do with democracy and freedom of speech. This is freedom to demonstrate but some people can't keep their calm when they see MP's and start acting like idiots (as always when they are together).

It seems like democracy is not possible without a lot of policemen and water tanks :-).

Look, at the slovakia are sometimes far-right demonstrations too, but I have never seen water tank in action yet

Maybe reason is, that people can watch (daily) in TV a lot of aggression, even from their government. So they just think that aggressive protests are normal. But how can some countries teach people to make calm/polite demonstration just to express their feelings if they act much more aggressive ??

So you think this is normal picture of our loved democracy, right ?

No. I think these are a couple of idiots, nothing more. I don't think all kind of things when I see this, I see idiots misbehaving.

Al Jazeera is the best source I can get from Middle East. I don't rely on their opinions about Palestine etc. but their coverage of North African revolutions was splendid. There were no Polish journalists out there and they're less competent. By far. Also BBC was a bit worse the Al-Jz. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's fine.

@Rubinho
I read English newspapers, mostly online + The Guardian weekly. From Polish one's I read mostly the weekly editions. I'm a double liberal, both in social and economic issues so it's hard to find a newspaper/gazette that will 'flow' with my opinions, it's same with political parties in Poland. Even the liberals are in fact undercover socialists :F. But it's fine for the news - I like to disagree with what I'm reading :D There's no sense in reading only articles of authors that are of the same opinion as you are....

I wish we had such thing as this Courrier International. It sounds awesome.

why idiots? you´re spreading one of the basic human rights...freedom of speech and having opinion...

rumpil is right in this case
2011-03-25 18:04:55

I dont think that get naked on public and throw things on policemen, who were standing still is normal.

These people were idiots.
2011-03-25 18:09:42
you doesn´t understand what me and rumpil want to say ours western European democracy installers...humankind isn´t prepared for democracy in full meaning...
2011-03-25 18:12:10
Ok so humankind isn´t prepared for democracy yet, but what do you propose instead of it ?
2011-03-25 18:19:46
