Just look at the vetos from Russia and the regimes they have helped. You must be literally blind if you can't admit that. So take your head out of your ass and stop acting as if you are completely stupid (I hope it is acting stupid)!

I'm not defending the occupation of Crimea by Russia. I'm just saying that - occupation or not - that vote is important.

Yeh, right, because a civil war isn't a war ... and a crazy president killing over 100.000 civilians, even with the use of chemical weapons, should not be stopped by international interference. But instead we have to support the morally right comrad Russia because they will magically veto this war away as somekind of a fairy and his magic wand, something like that??

The conflict in Syria is way too complex to be simplified like that.

Putin, just like Napoleon or Hitler, is a small man with psychological problem and hyper-compensation.
Remember Georgia? A small country that agressed Russia... Or 40th Russian army was on frontier with Gorgia 2 month before and it was a prepared operation? Just like with Crimea now. They call it military exercises. They have occupied Pralament of Crimea, airport, blocked all ukarinian military forces in Crimea, they also propose to military to change side and join russian forces. There is now more russian military than citizen! And they still call it exercises.
We don't have necessary military forces to stop them. So wile NATO and EU are still talking, USE at least do something. I do not support their politic, but somebody need to stop Putin. I'd prefer a sniper.

About russian support of regimes. Our presiden is in Russia and his last interview was from Russia. Not German, Poland or else.. Why? Few days ago another man involved in protests died. And the count is go for hundreds! This was man's with wooden shields and clubs against fire-armed special forces. Forces that directly controlled by President! Also many so called "titushko" was used by "government". It's prepaid sportsman's that organize provocation and riot.
Also russian special police forces were used.
In residence of or president, among works of art and golden toilet, there was a golden bread and a galleon of red wood in a lake hear the palace... In a time that there was no money in budget for social workers.
His son, also a deputy, became TOP 5 of reachest in Ukraine in two years, from nowhere.
Yanukovich politic was totally pro-russian. Putin lost his pawn and tried to play on provocation of military conflict and "protection of russian citizens". Crimea is a strategic point to control Black see and marine entrance to Russia. It's an old question with them.
Russia shows a good censored image on satellite TV, but behind it it's a severity, chip and bad quality vodka, protests against government that doesn't shows, censure and propaganda. Like in good old USSR! That one that was in time of Stalin.Or better Russian royal regime with tsar Putin. Russia consist of 21 republics, with different nationalities... Why not join one more?
We better accept help from USA than lost our freedom an join new dictator regime!

Edit: What I said was that there a number of regions (Crimea, but also other regions near the Russian border) that have a majority of Russian-speaking people living in it. Is that a lie according to you?

I do not agree on the US policy concerning Syria, let that be clear. But yes, Charles Hill often has one-sided and strange thoughts, that's true.
