First...not only Crimea want join russia, there are more cities on the east who go with Crimea under russia.

Second... maybe there is some security or strategical reason, if there is a conflict somewhere, rules are usually less important than security or strategical reasons.

Or maybe, (you will like this, I dont agree with this, but for you...) Russia need to take that village cos they need more and more place and that village was just too easy to overtake :-DD

China owns absolutely most Dollars, if Russia wants even more problems with their largest ally they should hurt the Dollar .... and all other countries that own a lot of Dollars and/or do business in Dollars.

I just read now that the people of Crimea can't even choose to stay with Ukraine!?

They can only choose to become independant or join Russia.

How can this be a valid referendum if the people of Crimea don't have the option to stay with ukraine.

I know the situations are different. EVERY situation is different. So if a country wants to 'unite' ( East Germany to West Germany, Crimea to Russia, it is OK. but if a country want to break away (Kosovo from Serbia) it is NOT ok??
