Russian army says that they can not confirm any air attacks on Libyan people, as west resources said us couple of weeks ago.
Western media are involved, Russian not, so what is more probably, who had true ?

Russia has a huge stake in this conflict as hey are a major supplier of military hardware of all kinds to Libya. Russia also has a huge track record of sudden blindness whenever and wherever it was only ever so slightly beneficial to be blind. When you read 'cannot', you ought to read: will not.

If Libyan airforce officers desert because they cannot follow orders - bomb civilians - they must of course be delusional if the Russian army says there wasn't any such thing. Seriously.

Could be a very good reason yes. But what does that have to do with Libya? 2 different countries, 2 different situations right? It's wrong what happened in Uganda, but that doesn't have anything to do with this situation ...

Why UNO or NATO weren´t interested in civil war in Uganda...there were more than 200k real civilians killed, small children were begging to slavery or used as kid military forces...this was much more atrocity, than Libyan conflict...let me guess...because Uganda doesn´t have an oil???

Now this is actually a very fair question. I doubt it's oil though, as Libya really doesn't have much oil resources.
True. However, the non-intervention in Uganda is never a reason to not intervene in Libya.

lol, are you kidding me???

PRODUCTION OPEC member Libya produces 1.6 million barrels of oil per day. It is the 17th-largest producer in the world, the third-largest producer in Africa and holds the continent's largest crude oil reserves. At least some 100,000 barrels per day, around 6 percent of Libya's production, have been shut in as a result of the unrest.

They have oil reserves for 67 years, that´s enough to start killing US economy by selling their oil for €...and blind countries of EU are helping to the USA in this conflict indirectly ruining economy of whole EU??? quite crazy...

Except of this, how should be USA interested in this conflict in another way, than in oil? Who gives them a moral right to act like world´s policeman??? They almost ruined all developed economies all around the world because of their irresponsible economy policy during last decades and now they are invading to an independent country??? Don´t be blind a leadership of USA is evil!!!

I agree with you, it doesn't. What it does do, however, is make the motives of those who champion intervention, suspect - to say the least.
oh yeah, you Belgian had always different meter for very similar situation...I understand...

Compared to other OPEC countries, it really isn't all that much. Between alternative energy resources and current access to oil, there is absolutely NO good strategic reason to intervene like this. If the USA were pragmatic, they would help Ghadaffi as he was more than willing to sell oil. Really, don't follow conspiracy theories blindly. They do no make any sort of sense.

As for the moral right to intervene... To quote something you really should know: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Now, the USA have shown to be less than 'good' at times, but this does not in any way justify the attitude that everyone should be left to its own. Had the USA persisted in its attitude of strict neutrality, we would all be speaking German right now. (Actually, I wouldn't be speaking at all as I would never have been born.) The moral right to intervene is quite simply this: everyone has the duty to intervene if a situation is bad enough.
oh yeah, you Belgian had always different meter for very similar situation...I understand...

Wow, how mature.

he resolution is carried out as it should be done and is also legal (as long as the allies aren't giving weapons to 1 side).

Please, read that resolution first and than compare to NATO war activity and attacks !! THX.

There is simple civil war, nothing more !
>>>So? The UN has the right to step in when a civil-war is going on. Nothing illegal with that.

Did you hear something about not involving/intervention from third side into national conflicts ?

If I have bought some weapons, than I find 100 people in Nederlands which really dont like your government and help them to start rebellions your army will not just blockade them (as policemen usually do), because "rebels" will have guns so they will be really dangerous !!! so your army will be forced use guns too and army must shoot down some of them..> kill civilians as you like to say ...
Then I will call NATO help for helping rebels against Nederlands regular army ??

you can say that my example is kidding, but I am serious, that would be same !!!

I suppose this is correct information on this conflict.
1. Libya is an independent country !! (no matter that you consider it like colony from the past time)
(there is civil war, they must solved it, NATO can just stop killing civils, but Kaddafi is not attacking civils :-), please show me some video where is Kaddafi killing civils, thx!)

2. Kaddafi army is fighting against armed men, no civilians.
Nato is bombarding Libya and some civilians are dying.

3. Russians and west and US countries are delivering weapons for Libya for many years !

4. Western media have different news as Russian or maybe other news (like Vatican today). Who believe just to its national media is fool (it is valid for both, me and you of course, no offense, I am reading news from more sides)

oh yeah, you Belgian had always different meter for very similar situation...I understand...

Wow, how mature.

Ok, you indulging in arguments, so i give you one not so old...there was a governmental problem in Czech republic during their presidency of EU and I heard lot of Western European politics, mainly Belgian thats really bad situation and Czech should be ashamed for this situation...now your nation couldn´t elect your government almost for the year and nothing is wrong, Belgium is just ordinary EU country, no matter there seats most of EU institutions...

I really believe in EU and wan´t to be proud member of one of the biggest economy power of the world...but I don´t wan´t to be a member of an union which behave like an U.S. puppet...where is Mr. van Rompuy now? I didn´t see any statement of the "most powerful man in Europe" in media from starting conflict...Szarkozy and Merkel act like marionettes in the hands of U.S. leadership..what are they afraid off??? maybe they don´t want to end like leaders which had courage to say NO to USA? Hussein and Ghaddaffi are the most shiny examples...

+1 :-)
2011-04-01 15:14:51
Do you know Ron Paul ??

I like him because he is big critic of US printing money strategy and government financial cheating...

and today he said NO for attacks on Libya !

So not every US man is so aggressive like Bush or Obama.....

2011-04-01 15:32:27
3 examples why EU leaders are so weak:

US leaders: Oh, we had make a mistake, there aren´t any chemical weapons in Iraq...
EU leaders: Don´t worry guys, shit happens...nobody care how much civilians died during invasion

PIIGS countries: Oh, we made a mistake, we were faking macroeconomics indicators and make irresponsible economic policy for a decades...
EU leaders: Don´t worry guys, shit happens...we are going to give you much more money to save your economy...

US leaders: there is violation on civilians in Libya...
EU leaders: Don´t worry guys, we are sending ours military forces to help you to install democracy...

enough??? EU has such economy power, we can rule the world, instead of wasting money to helping dying empire...

Please, read that resolution first and than compare to NATO war activity and attacks !! THX.

I think you should read it again, here it is: UN resolution: key points

- Authorises UN member states "to take all necessary measures ... to protect civilians and civilian populated areas under threat of attack in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, including Benghazi, while excluding a foreign occupation force of any form on any part of Libyan territory". -

f I have bought some weapons, than I find 100 people in Nederlands which really dont like your government and help them to start rebellions your army ..... helping rebels against Nederlands regular army ??
This is all hypothetical, nothing more as a nice story you just made up.

1. Libya is an independent country !! (no matter that you consider it like colony from the past time)
(there is civil war, they must solved it,

No, the UN has the right to step in. That's it. I don't really mind what you think of that as you don't make the laws, the fact is the UN can and will interfere if all UN members agree, or at least not against.

NATO can just stop killing civils, but Kaddafi is not attacking civils :-), please show me some video where is Kaddafi killing civils, thx!)
I don't even know how to answer this lie ...... did the Libyans killed themselfs?

2. Kaddafi army is fighting against armed men, no civilians.
Nato is bombarding Libya and some civilians are dying.

He is fighting civilians that picked up guns the moment they got murdered by Khadaffi. I know, you don't believe this, you don't have to tell me than again and again, but you are wrong!

3. Russians and west and US countries are delivering weapons for Libya for many years !
Politics is difficult, ones you were a friend, but when you start killing your own people you become the enemy, how strange ..............................

4. Western media have different news as Russian or maybe other news (like Vatican today). Who believe just to its national media is fool (it is valid for both, me and you of course, no offense, I am reading news from more sides)
I really wonder were I can find this 'hate the UN, and Khadaffi is our friend' stuff you call news :)
