Great examples, South Carolina, 1860 and Lincoln, all completely relevant for the situation of Crimea ... NOT! Wrong continent, wrong century, wrong president, wrong everything!

And about Rotterdam, also completely irrelevant ofcourse, and not only because it's a city in the Netherlands and not a region somewhere else far away from the Netherlands.

Yes, it's not OK, because there were no country as Kosovo, the same as there's no country as Rotterdam, Marseille, Munchen, or something.

Because borders are for eternity. They never change. Look at Poland. It has existed forever and its borders were never changed.

If you agree with a decision of a separation, you must admit, that a secession South Carolina 22.12.1860, and other south states in next year was legal, and the war who started Lincoln was lawless.

The Southern secession was indeed a valid choice. States should have the right to withdraw from the United States.
I think this is answer for every questions :-)

I just hope EU will not make some stupidity for USA ask, cos USA will not suffer without gas, EU and especially central and east will :-(.
EU has still crises in industry, so we can not allow to make stupid acts....

Just look for more info about Russia and the importance of high oil and gas prices as that is the primary source of Russia's economic growth and income. Could be a reason for starting problems and also ofcourse for stealing these resources from neighbors.

And also interesting: euromaidanpr.wordpress.com

Too little too late? We live in a brave new world, of radical terrorists like Putin, if I was na Ukrainian nationalist I wouldn't join the national guard, to be potentially slaughtered, I would get a Crimean Russian passport, and head straight for moscow... its all very very sad, and the frustration of the Maidan radicals is unfortunately quite understandable, Donieck referendum next?

...and by the way, what a surprise, 95,5% of russians in Ukrainian region of Crimea "voted" joining Russia. LoL...

In my humble opinion, I actually think that getting rid of Crimea, could actually do Ukrainie a lot of good... :-], despite the totally unacceptable way in which russia did/will steal it. I am only worried that Putin will want more now..

Very nice, and your point is?
...that NATO military intervention was bad... yes, any military intervention is bad, I agree.
So, what are the Russian Putin's troops doing and strengthening now in a part of sovereign Ukraine, and just outside of Crimea as well! why does Russia have military exercises by Ukrainian boarders, why is a military malitia in Crimea, under russian army supervision conducting a illegal by international standards "referendum".

This conflict was not started by Putin, Putin just said "enough" to western empire" :-).
I don't doubt that maidan was started and supported by money and was organized by the west. As there is video with money armour truck going from airport to US embassy before maidan start and as there are personal statments which says that some of them, usually the most aggresive one was doing it for money, I suppose USA is behind, as usual.

Russia usually dont react on various US aggressions on the world but when somebody start making conflict on Russia borders where also Russian people live, I am not surprise that Putin stop it and made a solution.

So...you shouldn't blame on consequences, you should blame author.

I don't doubt that maidan was started and supported by money and was organized by the west.

It's not because you don't doubt, that it's true. Some people don't doubt about the existence of their god either, but that doesn't make their god existing. And as we all know, Gott ist tot.

If you don't get the point you should watch the video once again. And again, if needed... The video is more like a personal pain expressed through the art, it was not made for the purpose of this topic. The main goal was not to make a judgement, but to show the consequences. I am absolutely against any kind of military interventions, anywhere! Talk, talk, talk, and if you lose hope at a point, still keep talking... Eventually you will find a peaceful solution!

For the reason I didn't want to touch the numbers issue of the wars in 90's in the video. It's still too fresh, there are still people in my neighbourhood, here and there, who have lost someone they loved. "One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic"... But I could give you names, real names. I knew some of those people, I lost some of my friends in the 90's, and that was for the real! Everything else is just a rhetoric. It's all different when it's in your background..

Most of you guys here were too young, and don't remember the time, but you still consider your government's statements as the facts.. Look at the video, the TV station. Do you think it was a military target? Than ask yourself what is YOUR government's strongest weapon, and how they manipulate "the facts"!

Talking about the 8 years of KLA's fight for independence, as you guys says, and "only" 6 months of Crimea's crisis : if it's just the matter of time - bosnian serbs want their independence for more than 20 years - what's the difference? Serbs from Kosovo want their independence for more than 15 years - what's the difference? Crimea people, the majority, want their own independence (and there's no matter if there is an army or not - army on streets can only make a countereffects, an anger!)...

But let me ask you something else, too: What's the point of the United Nations? The international recognized boundaries and sovereignty? The international law, the UN Charter? ..If you can choose by your own what you like to follow and what you don't? There can't be a double standards! But there are. Unfortunately, the western world began to use it in Kosovo and it was the question of time when it will turns back this way. If it was wrong - fix it and correct the harm, just as you'd have a right for a compensation if you were inocent in a jail. If it wasn't the case - then let others to do the same. Quite simple, isn't it? Me, but you as well (if you want to be honest), do not accept "we can make a mistake, but you can't" cause it's not right, it's not correct.

My point is that no military option is a good one. Never was, never will be. So, I'm asking all of you once again: what's the difference, other than the spot you are standing on?

Bullshit, if you put numbers here you should post the data. I don't have too look up your numbers. As long as you can't come up with a source your just making propaganda.

it is up to the person MAKING a statement to prove it, not up to the person who hears a statement to prove or disprove it.

Because I read a lot of various media, so I can find easier what can be probably true or not

rumpil, remember the 'fact' that the US caused the chemical attack in Syria? (some) of the media you read is flawed and biased. So everything you 'quote' has to be fact checked.
