In every country where US forces are based they are there with a Status of forces agreement agreement, whereby the host country sets the terms of US solders being there. this is totally different than the russian occupation of Crimea.

Anywany in Veneto (italian region) is been done a referendum abou exiting from Italy.
1 800 000 italian citizen voted for it (over the 50% of the active voters of that region) on internet.
this happened in a region where there are italian troops and police and some USA/Nato militar settlement (like this) .

Veneto's referendum is exactly the same situation as Crimea, also a Russian propaganda referendum with 2 options, join Russia or independence (and the nazi billboards which ofcourse isn't indoctrination at all), I can see clearly the comparisons now ........................................ :/ [/sarcasm]
