Maybe because they want to reward the man who saved thousands of lives of innocent ones who just wanted a better way of life?

Why do you guys cry? You just mentioned politics should be national and not european and now you're wondering where Van Rompuy is? That's contradictory isn't it?

It may sound arrogant but why do you deny the Libians the same system you guys have? Why aren't the western countries allowed to support people with the same ideas as partizans in your country in the 80's?

:-DDD good joke.. thx :-))

I've posted this also in another topic, but it also makes sense in this topic. Maybe you think it's interesting to watch, it's about oil and gas and the power involved with that :) I think it's very interesting.

US gave them "gold=freedom, democracy and good live with human rights " and they are refusing.... :-(((

Dear generous Iraqi people, our young free brothers . . . Greetings on to you all. Your brothers with “The Popular Movement to Save Iraq”, “The Popular Front to Save Kirkuk”, “The Student and Youth Organization of a Free Iraq”, “The Movement in Steadfast Basra to Liberate the South” and “The Iraqi Association of the Tribes of Southern and Central Iraq” have decided to launch a long-term sit-in in all Iraqi provinces to mark the eighth anniversary of the brutal American occupation of our precious Iraq on Saturday, 4/9/2011, demanding the end of the American occupation and foreign interference. This sit-in will not last hours or days, but will continue night and day until the protesters demands are met, which include the following:

- The unconditional departure of the occupying forces,
(why ?? they are protecting them and their democracy system :-D... why they want this now :-) ??)
- The release of the innocent prisoners from occupation and government prisons,...
(I want see this :-) )

and other demands....

....
For our sit-in we will set up tents in front of US military bases, which are located in every Iraqi province.

What do you think, should EU countries help them to expel US forces ? That country is under US occupation and people are starting rebellions.. will we give them generous help ?
2011-04-04 11:00:48
This is just question, I have no opinion for this...you can tell me what EU should do :-)

let´s go guys, come to Iraq and install them democracy...oh, no, they already have democracy installed...so take a better look, maybe this country need some upgrade or servispack...
2011-04-04 12:46:24
Would be great if Iraq could take care of itself. Don't think many will disagree on that :)
2011-04-04 12:57:23
impossible at the moment, because of high corruption rate in army and police and democratic system artificially installed...western countries doesn´t understand one important issue...Islamic countries aren´t supposed for democracy in our meaning of the word...

maybe.. if they could take care of yourself they would have installed old system back :-))

But they must have democracy no matter if they want it or not :-)

and maybe... maybe democracy is much better for them.. yes, also this is possible :-), time will show us :-) But I dont think that they have freedom for choose it yourself.
2011-04-04 13:04:53
That's absolutely right, at the moment Iraq isn't a steady country. Way to easy for some corrupt gang to take control if the army just leave and we let them.

But at the end every country should have their own democracy, that suites them. Democracy, Demos (the people) Kratein (to rule), it doesn't say how or what system just that the people rule.
2011-04-04 13:15:33
but Islamic nations don´t need to be democratic because of their religion...it´s like you want a cat learn how to fly...that´s the reason why I´m saying the invasion to Iraq and now Libya aren´t such good as you think...also in your country, there is a lot of Muslims and it is expected that in 15 years your country will be an Islamic country, so we will see which political system you´ll have until 2 decades :P
2011-04-04 13:22:57
Because these people lived with a dictator or a repressive government the last decades they don't want our freedom? Sorry I can't believe that, it's your own assumption.

And don't be crazy, my country is what it is. If a large group is Muslim and get a voice in government then that's how it is, the people rule, that's democracy. What you're saying is just xenophobia, really dumb if you mean it.

in coutries/regions where are a lot of small groups (political/religious) have guns will democracy never works ! You need one dictator or maybe monarchy system.... why do you think that what is good for our culture is good also for completely different culture ??

....VvK was not talking about xenopohobia... he has been talking about reality, about fact, that western culture is not center of space....
2011-04-04 13:36:04
Show me 1 fully Islamic country (not counting Turkey, cause they are much more influenced by European lifestyle, than others) where is real democracy system and it´s working e.g. like in your country, then I change my opinion...
2011-04-04 13:41:50
The most steady countries are democracies, that's a fact :) Even if there are a lot of people with guns like Germany, Switzerland, Canada, US etc and when a government falls in these countries nothing strange happens like war.

And people like you assume way to much, like connecting things that are way more complex.
2011-04-04 13:44:33
Nothing is like your country. My country has a different democracy as your country, or the US or UK etc. But the people rule, that is in all these countries the same. And yes, in most islamic countries they don't have democracy, but that doesn't mean it's that way because the people like it. It's that way because the people in power likes it this way, that's something completely different, and not something you even like to consider :)
