North Atlantic Treaty Organization has a lot of bases around the world, in countries that invited them and/or are members of the treaty, as the countries that invited NATO forces don't want, situations like in crimea or georgia, where RUSSIAN MILITARY crossed a border of another sovereign state, in this case called Ukraine (orange on your map), and stole a bit of not their own territory, by masked man, and called it, a region of Russia. Russia doesn't "want" war, it is already conducting it since march 1st, by unconventional means. NATO is not reacting, so far.

And also in places like Irak, Afghanistan, or Cuba. Although the latter is more USA rather than NATO.

Putin get already such a allowance from his parliament few weeks ago :-).
What happen on 1.5. is EU press/blackmail on Ukraine to start a war, it is normal that russia will defend countries where live russian and countries which ask russia for protection.

I didn't read anything about that and can hardly believe that the EU would force Ukraine to a war. Source? Maybe it was in neutral and objective Russian TV? :)

I didn't seen that information anywhere either. Instead I also read, Ukraine has to raise gas prices, taxes, etc.
