Yesterday they also seized largest oil refinery with 1/2 of Ukraine gasoline reserve there.

I see no problem using russian agency for the events involving Russia. Or should I use Uruguay news agency instead? ;)

Donetsk defence forces take control of army unit equipped with missile defence systems

DONETSK, June 29, /ITAR-TASS/. Self-defence forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic have taken control over a missile defence army unit equipped with Buk missile defence systems, the press service of the Donetsk People’s Republic told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

So far, no details are available about the number and condition of the missile systems taken over by the self-defence forces. The press service refused to comment.

The Buk missile defence system is a mobile medium-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system designed to defend field troops and logistics installations against air threats in conditions of heavy electronic countermeasures and intense enemy fire.

Two pages of speculation.. it's not even clear that the plane was shot down. I agree with laufer, I don't see a reason why any of the parties would want to shoot a civil machine in 10km height. We have to wait for an investigation.

My sympathy for the victims and their families. Let's hope they didn't die for the sake of some maniacs. :(

No, but these are not 3 murdered people, this is the next in a row of shot down planes in the same area. And more and more prove is presented this isn't am accident. Lying officals who claim not to have such a system while 2 weeks ago they told the media they have taken controle of such a system, bragging pro-russian rebels and intercepted phone calls, radar sight, 2 sides fighting over who did it, and maybe even more. And more evidence will follow the coming hours.

It is already clear enough this isn't an accident.
