Yes, but 9 out of 10 cases of this kind of violence will happen in the States. All Charles is saying is that this is not a coincidence.
It happened in Finland less than a year ago (I think).
Happened here twice recently :( November 2007 (9 died) and september 2008 (11 died).

Well, a high quantity of this accidents in States is caused by them law and tradition. Since when they exist on the map, they have total freedom. In such a country born a most of murderers and psychopats imo.
but this wasn't about a psycho shooter... it was gang related... its just crazy that it was in school property...

Mind you that we can't really compare any European country to USA, we can only compare USA vs Europe/European country vs USA's certain state because of the number of citizens.
Finland = 5.3M population, 2 gun incidents
USA = 310M population
If we take the 2 incidents for 5M population/1 incident per 2.5M population, then USA is 'allowed' to generate 124 such incidents.

Sure, but I still think that the States have the most people killed by guns compared to a country's population.

A documentary about the worldwide destruction of food
Amazing but true: On the way from the farm to the dining-room table, more than half the food lands on the dump. Most of it before it ever reaches consumers. For instance every other head of lettuce or potato.
When it comes right down to it, no one actually thinks this is okay: Food is not something to be thrown away “because others have nothing to eat”, as younger people would say, and as for the elderly: “I was around during the war and we were glad to get our hands on every crust of bread!” That’s one side of the story. They discover the other side when they venture a look into dumpsters: behind their local supermarket and, if they can summon up enough courage, in the trash cans outside their own door. We’re not talking about chicken bones and potato peels here. The topic at hand is perfectly edible food, some still in the original packaging, and frequently enough not even the ‘best before’ date has expired. Around 100 pounds per household each year. Even more, about twice as much, is ‘rejected’ on fields, in factories and at retailers.

Enough food is produced to feet 12 billion people but only 3 billion people can eat enough daily, that's shocking! I never realised we throw away that much. For me that's going to change right now :)

Keep an eye on what I buy, not to much so I don't have to throw away that much as I do now :)
at home, i almost never throw something away, only if it went bad
You are a good person Charles Hill... really I notice you are very aware of the world you live in and the injustices of society. I appreciate that.
But you buying less food wont feed another hungry mouth. In fact in results in companies selling less food to you and the economy drops.
Because of that another crises comes and countries have less money to spend on the third world and people die because of hunger.
Charless ! You murderer !!!! ;)

saw it on Ned2. Disgusting how food can be wasted. Even more disgusting what excuses they give themselves for keep doing it.
