Another terrorist attack in Morocco ... :S

Deadly blast rocks Marrakesh cafe
Last Modified: 28 Apr 2011 11:28

Authorities suspect "criminal act" as huge blast at popular tourist hangout in city's main Jamaa el-Fna square kills 14.

An explosion in a busy cafe in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh has killed at least 14 people and wounded several others, local officials said.

Morocco’s interior ministry said on Thursday early evidence suggested the deadly blast in the heart of the country's main tourist destination was a criminal act.

The interior ministry said foreigners were among the 14 people killed and 20 wounded in the blast that rocked Argana cafe in the city's main Jamaa el-Fna square.

"Early evidence collected at the site (of the explosion) indicates that it was a criminal act," the ministry said in the statement carried by the official MAP news agency.

Rescuers were dispatched to the scene and an investigation was opened to provide details on the blast.

The cafe is a popular spot with tourists and ranks 21 on the Lonely Planet’s online list of 'things to do in Marrakesh'.

"One of the few cafes where you'll compete with locals for elbow room and a spectacular view of the [Jamaa el-Fna] at sunset, when the restaurant stalls set up shop and the belly dancers begin to wriggle," the travel guide writes.

The wedding of prince William and Kate costs the UK ... 700 million euros. 700 million! Unbelievable.

I wouldn't be surprised, if the amount of money spent on this wedding is greater than the sum of money spent on every other wedding in the UK in 2011.

Information about Libya, about fail US/EU war episode is revealing real facts, same facts (lies in US/EU governments) as we could see a couple of months after 9.11. I am wonder, when the war supporters will open eyes :-)

In US this is normal. all their fake actions like 911 are going to make bigger police state in US, but why EU ? :-(

Censor is already happening in most countries, in the Netherlands many sites are blocked like childporn, radical extremism etc, but ofcourse we don't exactly know what ... and the problem of censor is, it's the murderer of freedom and free information as it is already filtered for you.

I won't be surprised if this is done to prevent future wikileaks ... Let's hope internet-anarchy keeps developing :)

there was blocked pages in Australia too (child porn) and lot of organizations showed to world, to Australian people that also lot of opposite blogs (anti-government) was blocked :-( !
(I got this information from my friend, but I believe to that information)

They just need law, need permission for blocking and then they can do everything.
Look, UNO allowed non-flight zone in Libya too and most of countries are doing much more....

Once, somebody has low/permission for blocking or defending(war) he can do whatever he wants :-(

Unbelievable indeed. In fact, it's so outrageous you might consider to see if it's actually true. Surprise: it's not. Costs are estimated at 20M € - 30 M €. The actual marriage is paid for by both families.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the money was recouped through the increase in tourism as a result of it. From pictures on the TV it was heaving with people and they weren't all from nearby by any means.

Interestingly enough, the numbers mentioned do not fit earlier reports about casualties. Moreoever, it seems to be targeted at Obama. Which is slightly curious since the USA are not alone out there. I'd guess this might be politically motivated, to say the least.

A Dutch quality newspaper stated that the increase of tourism wasn't particularly impressive: 600K instead of 500K. It also stated that the revenue from 'junk' was estimated at roughly 1 billion.
