Yes, i know there is a planet a few galaxies away, and 1 half of it is in sunlight and the other half in complete dark, and this planet has trees and rivers, and is also not to far or near to the sun

also, the universe has no bounderies (that we know of so it would be ignorant to think we are the only ones in the universe :)

We just can't be the only 1, specially not because we see life in the most strange and harsh places and conditions. Also, our sun isn't that old compared to other suns, and because of that also our planet and life on it isn't that old. Only 1 out of the hundreds of billion suns needs to have a planet that can have life.

according to drake's equation there are lots of other advanced races out there. The only problem we have is that we are all to far from eachother.
