Anybody have anything to add? Mubarak is gone, Ben Ali is gone, Khadaffi is fighting for his life.
Other uprisings are taking place.

Oil price is up.

Will Saudi-arabia collapse?

What is Irans reaction?

We are witnessing history in the making.

use urban dictonary then.
"To be honest, I don't care" I guess.

This is a very interesting phase in the Middle-East. Interesting for what happens there, but also the reaction of Europe and the States.

Yeah i still have no idea what you are trying to say so, whatever.
thanks,

It is interesting whats happening for europe, not just the eventual refugee waves, but also the oil price and if it spreads to morocco, the nitrogen supply. And thats not talking about the people living there, who most definitly care.

This situation in muslim countries is predictable. it even was predicted by an american fellow, forgot his name. He said that the next "revolution" will happen in these countries, so nothing interesting (imho) is happening atm...

Of course everyone knew some day, muslims would demand democracy. This is a process every civilisation will go through. However, saying it was predictable, is bullshit for me. Nobody knew this was gonna happen. Of course, once they started in Tunis, you could say that this was going to other countries too. I don't see how this is not interesting. It's not because you say it's predictable, it's not interisting ...
2011-02-22 20:38:16
well i said IMHO! for me this was predictable, and a process that happened in the past with other countries so nothing interesting (or new) happening for me...

It is interesting to see if religious conservatism will take the lead or not. And it is important too. For all of the world population.

for me this was predictable

Then you are a genious ... which is not that weird; after all, you're a clone of an even bigger genious :p
my opinion is, that there is always something "behind", some real reasons (mostly economics or powerful reasons), some real interest of big persons and not just fight for democracy. I am persuaded myself that all these rebellions must be approved by somebody "up" or more, that they are financed by that strong peoples.

So now it seems like US wants to make some changes (or some people from US maybe), I dont know if it is just about changing government or setting up better system for US trusts and companies policy or something more... and the tool for media and word are people. No doubt that they (that people) need real democracy and that regtime there is very bad and need to be changed, but I dont believe that just people there was starters/beginners of that revolution... somebody must say "go and do it" or "you will not do what you want, we will take you down and establish there new power" or "there are money, do what you must to do to prevent my interests" :-)

what do you think ?

(end of communism in Czechoslovakia was not just random... dividing of our republics was not just random or just will of inhabitants, every case had some exact reason so I believe that this must be same :-) )

You have not right.

1. Americans had good relations with Mubarak, so had no interest in overthrowing him.
2. Regime (dictatorship) is not necessarily a bad thing. Of course, you can not say too many good things about Kadafi's rule, but one thing is clear. Kaddafi is better than Islamic fundamentalists who are the main Libyan opposition. Therefore, we have a really strange, bizarre, curious situation - every normal person should support Kadafi.
2011-02-23 00:16:31
Well, if I remember well it started in Tunisia after a young man set himself on fire. The first demonstrations were organized on Facebook to remember him. There isn't any leader for this "rebellion" in any of the countries...

edit: Company, Kadhafi himself has supported terrorists; do you remember the Lockerbie-detonation?

Yes, but it was almost 30 years ago. During this time many things changed.
2011-02-23 03:17:18
No, only the appearance changed. For the Libyan citizens, nothing has changed. Supporting someone who shoots at his own people is ridiculous. And yes, we must be careful because of Islamic fundamentalism, but by supporting dictators, you're not gonna eleminate fundamentalism. Contrary, you'll create a lot of frustration which can easily lead to fundamentalism.
