Subject: Rebellions in NA

No, only the appearance changed. For the Libyan citizens, nothing has changed. Supporting someone who shoots at his own people is ridiculous. And yes, we must be careful because of Islamic fundamentalism, but by supporting dictators, you're not gonna eleminate fundamentalism. Contrary, you'll create a lot of frustration which can easily lead to fundamentalism.

1. Americans had good relations with Mubarak, so had no interest in overthrowing him.

Official relations are not that important things I was talking about.... ok maybe I am wrong, but I can not belive that this rebellions was made just by people for their fight for better life... I still think that they are tools and something is behind this scene... not official, but unofficial interests....

OK, maybe I am paranoid, but after couple of years we can see in every case real truth which was secret at that hot times....

so you all really think that just people get up and start to fight for better life :-) ??

Totally agree with you. And also with Company, dictatorial regim's are not always bad, ask 10 romanian for example 8 will cry after the 70's and 80's, and the other 2 are on drugs. Look how great is our freedom and our better life, no justice, no education, no healthcare, no economy, no nothing. I bet they will cry for Mubarak in a while.

I read more today.... now I think that it is just simple oil problem... USA has some kind of control there, but their new "democratic" system there would be better and give them full control. So that is the impluse for starting rebellions for democracy.... people are tool and after democracy more profit from oil will go to new or old US companies there and people will have nothing... now bosses has profit and maybe something they use for state, but after this will state get just new loans :-)

am I wrong ? I just read more articles from various portals....

We will find the answer probably in 50 years. Maybe US wants a fundamentalist regim there, wich will lead to terror acts towards Israel, wich will get angry and will invade Iran and therefore solve US interests there. Who know what US wants there. Anyways, after 50 years we will watch Discovery channel where an old yankee will tell us what they've screwed and why half of North Africa population got wacked, and how sorry he is. Those poor bastards that are dying there, they think that they fight for somekind of idealism and freedom and blabla...instead, they are some puppets.

I think in the same way some people here, that iit may be good if those countries gets into democracy...but that there is a risk if the extreme muslims gets the power. I mean , sadam was better than those radical muslims in Irak.

But in Egypt people says that Muslim Brothers is only 10% of people, is these true?

Lybia is different, that gadaffi seems that is gonna "sell expensive his skin", it could lead into a civil war

maybe US has a lot of old weapons and now at the crises nobody want buy them, so they must just use them :-)

In fact arms trades were booming during the recent crisis .

In these countries the people are mostly young (below 30 years). They were born in the same dictatorship they just overthrew. Maybe there isn't anything else, they just want to live free...

only when the fence is overcrowded.
In Belgium, we never have rebellions. Really, never. Whatever happens.
And what happens in Belgium mostly stays in Flanders ^^
