Subject: freedom of speech
Which is exactly why any major decisions must be dealt with by the entire staff team. :p
Kind of like government cabinet I suppose. Yes things have happened in the past but lessons were learnt everytime. Oh and that situation was a one off and it was not all staff it was an NT issue...plus again there were 2 sides to the story and an apology was made and I believe accepted?
With great power comes great responsibility as a wise man once said. ;)

you dont have judical system in sokker, so no judges are here just MODs :-)
system without freedom of speech is easier for game and staff,
(look on Kaddafi model, I agree with him, democracy is crap and freedom of speech is very often more dangerous than people think...)

......at what point does freedom of speech cross the line though?
I think that is a key point. As soon as something is actually very upsetting to somebody why say it, because surely saying something when you know that it will cause upset makes you a mean and nasty person? Just a thought?

Actually its not as I would have had far less problems if I was able to have discussed the reasons for some of the past staff decisions. :/
You can claim it's a one-off if you like but things like that are the result of this system. I guarantee it won't be the last time members of staff are accused of breaking the rules. Infact I'm fairly certain that occasion wasn't the first time major complaints have been made against staff. I seem to remember a particular incident with an Italian admin.
look on red sentences... my bans :-D (but i am not quilty)

I think staff should always inform the banned player why he is banned (also for forum ban or deleted posts). This however doesn't always happen.
If somebody send protest for ban to sokker admin email... who will reconsider it, same mod or different person or admin ? Is there some case where protest was successful and admin change MOD's decision :-) ??
Controversial cases are handled by all admins in a separate discussion forum and a lot of "yellow" cards have been given in the past so please stop shouting that protest doesn't help. Problem is in most cases the proof is so obvious that protest doesn't help and these cases catch the light and people think we do what we want without thinking about it.
And if staff breaks the rules, they get punished to. Quite recently we had a case with that Estonian MOD who did a very good job, but violated the rules. Won' say much about it, but he did lose his star...

Then how does it happen that messages on forum are deleted without any notice by a mod/admin who deleted it and why?
A Mod/Admin must always explain when he deletes a post, that is clear in our guidelines. However, we cannot see who deleted a post so if it doesn't happen we cannot warn the Mod/Admin for it. Lack of information on the forum unfortunately :(
But most of the times, there are only a limited number of mods active on the forum (because of the language). Then you might expect it is pretty clear who deleted is (who was online?).
I've been told of at least 3 examples in the last couple of hours where posts of "troublemakers" were removed for absolutely no reason by staff with a grudge. The posts in question were just random stuff.
There is also a well known Polish manager currently under a week-long forum ban for no good reason. The inconsistency is not good when, to be honest, I deserved the ban more than he did.

That seems like a major flaw in the system to me. Once again, the lack of accountability leads to abuses.

Deleted posts do not always have to be explained in the topic itself, most of the time I do it via sk-mail. And if someone keeps on going off-topic (like today) the reason why some posts are deleted is obvious, so please stop whining about it.
And if you think you deserve a ban more than him, then send me a sk-mail with details and I might help you with that one and pass his ban over to you.
