Just making sure that you are all ok with those words.
firstly it's not nice to distort original text like it's done baove
secondly how stiff You need to be to take such words in one place seriously...
does the concept of "sarcasm about stereotypes" tells You anything?

If you just put ha-ha-ha at the end of the sentence, this doesn't make words in your sentence less serious. I could give you a personal example that you can relate to mentioning members of your family with ha-ha-ha and :))))) at the end but I don't want to insult you nor get a ban.
Anyway, every community needs an authority to create and enforce the rules. This authority will surely have mistakes but they are still less important than the need for authority. The only way to deal with this difficult challenge is the same as in any democracy and that is trying to always appoint the best among us to represent our voice in bodies of authority. This decision proves Sokker community did that task excellently.
When I read that insulting and unhumorous post (which btw ruins also a great WC topic that someone invested much work in), I felt truly sick. I even gave up on commenting it and I was extremely positively surprised that this eventually resulted in a ban. Sokker as a community rose greatly in my eyes as this decision showed maturity and wisdom.
It's normal that there is people also against this decision and protesting voices are always louder than the silent majority. You should also be thankful you are given a chance here to voice that opinion although being utterly wrong. I personally want to be part of community where such jokes are absolutely forbidden.

i respect Your opinion but can not agree with it, especially with this democracy (?!?!) or telling that it was decision of community what is tottaly against polish comunity opinion
and I feel that you have not read this text if You argue that the only joking accent was adition of ha-ha-ha
have You?

I have read it and I know that there was no ha-ha-ha added. That also wouldn't helped it to be funny or prevent it from being deeply sick and insulting. Not everyone can be a doctor or a comedian. Poor doctors can make people more ill and lose their job and poor comedians can insult people and get expelled from places. It doesn't matter what he wanted with his post, it's what he accomplished. And the fact that he disrespected staff and declined to offer an apology just rounds up this decision as the only possible.
No, we should just punish appropriately those who insult other people and don't even want to apologize.
And if staff breaks the rules, they get punished to. Quite recently we had a case with that Estonian MOD who did a very good job, but violated the rules. Won' say much about it, but he did lose his star...

Seriously? I never apologize for a joke, not even if it was heavily insulting. I insult religious people very often, not once have I apologized, and I'm never gonna do that. Learn to live with the fact that people laugh with stereotypes.

So you do not care about other people then? If you had a sister who had been raped and someone joked about it around her - and she went off in floods of tears you would not feel protective and upset for her?
Rtg is 100% correct in the fact that a minority find some of the things mentioned aove funny, others do not. Some people enjoy watching films like Hostel and Saw whilst others find them disgusting and do not like those sorts of films.
It is our job as a staff team to make those decisions, and to be honest with you. If I had 2 options to make, DELETE A POST and
- Upset a minority of users who are not offended by these comments but save others who find it offensive from being upset or
- Leave it and let a few laugh whilst others are upset and a majority
Then I would always choose the first option, as all of the staff team Mods and Admins. Lets face facts we are not an 18+ site - if you want to discuss these things and joke like this then there must be plenty of other sites?
Whatever some of you feel on here, we are not that bad a bunch.

I am a big fan of Monty Pythons. Put a link to at least 1 of their scenes that's as insulting as KZ's text. Pythons are subtle in their humour. They're all educated at best English universities. KZ's "humour" is more simmilar to South Park authors who by mistake equalise shock and humour but are unlike KZ smart enough not to cross the border to direct insults. They were in the end smart enough to give up on making insulting fun of Muhammad. They should also be smart enough not to do the same with Jesus but unfortunately they are not as classy as Pythons who were able to make "Life of Brian" impeckably. These are dangerous games with fire where the line is thin and they are definately not for amateurs who burn their fingers easily. Amateur comedians should stick with entertaining their friends and family until they learn where the thin line between humour and insult is.

This has nothing to do with what is said before. Of course I'd feel protective and upset for her.

The biggest mistake of South Park ever.

It has EVERYTHING to do with it though. Readers in the US could have read that post and had a Mum, Dad, Friends that were killed in the Twin Towers.
My point is met perfectly, what is funny to some is not always funny to the next erson and usually it depends on circumstances.
I am sure there were jokes about the Tsunami at Japan (I have not seen any) but if you see the videos of the devastation and people literally losing anything.......how is that kind of thing funny?
