A sensible attitude is what is needed when there is a huge range of readers. ;)

It does not mean that you have no sense of humour either, just that you are able to think outside the area. :)

all those arguments are more or less sensible for me but i still don't get why it should be punished at all if such attitude (sharp sarcasm etc) is widely accepted in our community
2011-04-01 16:14:42
Btw why not for example life time forum ban? Wouldn`t that solve the problem?
2011-04-01 16:25:48
I've asked that quite a few times and no-one has given me a satisfactory answer yet. They basically said he was a repeat offender and they lost patience with him, which inevitably led to me to ask the same question again.

If you break forum rules it should result in a forum ban
If you break game rules it should result in a game ban

I don't see the sense in a full ban for breaking something that can be so easily controlled.

Isn't everyone responsible for his/her own behavior?
2011-04-01 16:53:56
No man is an island. I've been told by a few people that this was some sort of rebellion against the
system and I totally get that. You also can't take 100% responsibility for how people totally overreact to your behaviour.
Outside of this game I'm actually sane, inside I tend to become kind of militant and it's due to the enviroment that's been created here. In my view, no-one on the staff is (openly) representing the users of this game and it has become Us Vs Them.
2011-04-01 17:02:50
I totally agree with you. Behind the computer I am more than a sane. I am teacher and coach, so have to be role model for other people (not an april fool joke). It´s easier to overreact if no one actually knows you, behind the computer. The issue is that there have been no explanations what so ever.

he had a chance to apologise, he didint. end of story.
2011-04-01 17:13:23
and next time ill 'sarcastically' punch u in the face, as a joke...

its my kind of humor and we all have freedom to express it...
2011-04-01 17:13:24
You can look at it that way but I can see the other side. If you feel like you're being pushed around and victimised, would you then say sorry to the people doing it?
2011-04-01 17:13:51
If you break forum rules it should result in a forum ban
If you break game rules it should result in a game ban

Sorry, but that doesn't make any sense at all. So, if you only break game rules, you can stil keep your account to discuss on forum? Weird logic.

Sokker should resemble real life as much as possible. Important part of any manager's work is also public relations and one can have great results and still get fired for poor manners. I mean, the guy was representing his country at WC and he used the related interview to show off his sick sense of humour and then even didn't want to apologize. Just imagine the same situation in real life. Actually, I really don't understand this discussion. The case is pretty much straightforward.

"Sorry, but that doesn't make any sense at all. So, if you only break game rules, you can stil keep your account to discuss on forum? Weird logic."

Actually it makes perfect sense. The problem was on the forum and the forum can be controlled. The fact is a permanent forum (and pm) ban would have solved this problem, but instead of taking a controlled measure that would have allowed a national coach, national manager and a 5 year member to stay, they just decided "Aww f**k it, let's just ban him" It was by that very definition, unnecessary.
2011-04-01 17:23:50
Still doesn't make any sense and you ignored the real life comparison. Why the hell would anyone want a World Cup gold coach and Champions League top manager that is not able to communicate to the world!?
2011-04-01 17:24:16
They basically said he was a repeat offender and they lost patience with him

another interesting fact is that from I remember (at least 2-3 last years) he didn't get any single punishment for a crime not directed to polish staff
