Nope, there might be a mod. Unlikely though. Why?

I would like to destroy everything. Thats how i play every game :P

Possible with a mod, but unless you borrow all of NASAs supercomputers, the result would be instant freeze

I built a fort*, with roughly 12K stone. All of it freshly mined. :P Not counting the 8 full loads (every available inventory spot) with dirt I had to remove to create a large enough flat area. The truly epic part of it: all of it was done with just my left hand. (Right arm in a sling after surgery.)

* each side: 75 stones long, 2 stones in depth for 5 stones in height, and then 3 more layers where it became broadended to 3 stones. 4 towers, 5x5 with a height of, I think, 20 or so. Might be more.

There is a sad ending to this: my game crashed beyond repair. Was just about done with the gatehouse.

Is the save corrupted? :(
2011-08-16 20:12:08
Yes.
2011-08-16 20:23:17
So you copied the saves folder from AppData/.minecraft, deleted the .minecraft folder, reinstalled minecraft, then pasted the saves folder back into the .minecraft folder, and it wouldn't start? If not, try it, you may have just corrupted minecraft.jar by a bug, a badly installed mod or a broken texture pack.

Have you tried to open the save with some external utility like MCEdit?
2011-08-16 20:51:25
If you know that its a illegal block causing it, MCedit will be the best route.

stupid aether mod, dont know why but something goes wrong all the time :D will try to install it tomorrow, any other good mods and what texture packs do you use ?
2011-08-16 21:06:30
Single Player Command Bar, Mo' Creatures, Clay Soldiers Mod. John Smith/Dokucraft texture pack. :)

Yes, I did. In the end the fun was and is in making it. I probably should add some barracks, next time. Would have been nice to have a bite more furniture. I can put in a lot of beds and chests, but tables and chairs would be cool, too.

I might ditch the puzzle map in my castle. What do I fill a 40x40x20 floating castle with, that's the question
2011-08-17 12:11:48
I have been busy with mosaic figures on my castle floors. Fairly simple abstract stuff till now, but it does look fairly well.
