Why fifafail.com
Because we think that today’s modern football is a scam without electronic devices that judge over difficult match situations in the professional sport of football. This site is not about the failure of referee’s but humans in general. Therefore we don’t place names of referee’s in the article, because they are an irrelevant factor in this situation.
Don’t blame the referee’s, help them!
It happens very often that a referee get boo-ed or chanted names in a football game. Supporters get blamed for their reaction, but it’s not completely fair. FIFA wants supporters to behave like evolved human beings. If they would evolve the game and help their referee’s thinks would become a lot better around the pitches. Nowadays they still send referees in to the wild to club a bear in stead of giving them a proper tool.
FIFA should be there for the sport, now the sport is there for the FIFA!
There are many people who scream for the use of electronic devices. Even top coaches like Louis van Gaal and Guus Hiddink took a stand to convince FIFA to make a change in these regulations. But the FIFA does not listen to the people they serve, even not the best of their kind, the ones that know what their talking about.
It can be done!
When you look at Rugby, Tennis, Snooker and Cricket for example. These sports (even classic as football) use devices like Hawk Eye with success. Because Football is the biggest sport in the world and is also a billion dollar industry it can’t be that wrong decisions are being ‘whipped off’ as it would be the charm of the game (Sepp Blatter, president of Fifa, 2010 during the World Cup).

FIFA is old fashion institute
FIFA is an organisation that is very top-down structured. No wonder everything stays the same, because the faces in the chairs in Zürich stay the same. Because they have absolute power, they think that their will is law. Except nowadays the power belongs to the people. Through modern communication like Internet the crowd has a mouth. And this site is one of those mouths. And were gonna scream like hell!
Report a crime
Witnessed a dubious situation during a match which was clearly visible on camera and the referee missed it?
Report it, please!! You can do this on the fifafail.com website.

I definitely agree, our favorite game is turning into a circus where most of the "fouls" are simulations and the real agressions are not seen by the ref not even those that end with serious injuries.
Even the WC, the best tournament is affected by these situations, Lampard's goal against Germany, Italy's and Spain's unfair elimination by South Korea in 2002, the unfair penalty conceded to Italy against Australia in 2006 and off course many others.
Nowadays players focus more on arguing with the ref, faking fouls and wasting time than actually playing football, and as said in the text it's the man's (referee in this case) fault.
When thinking about this, the South Park episode where they make fun of wrestling comes to my mind, they could've done it about football and it would be almost the same, a bunch of people acting.

The most laughable thing was the world cup selection process. They went through a year long evaluation of each nation, giving a technical overview of stadiums, fans, transport, potential for income and awarded a score at the end of it. Then they go and give the world cup to the nation with the lowest scores for each vote.

which also happens to be the country with the most money...
FIFA are corrupt, and while Sepp Blatter's reign of halting football's evolution is in progress, it won't get any better.

Most money but least profitable and with almost zero infrastucture in comparison to everyone else who had bid. After all the research, FIFA decided to go with a few drawings and designs instead of things that actually exist.

They gave next World Cup to the country of soccer.
There isn´t any better country to have a World Cup.

I think once Blatter is gone we might get somewhere.
Not only Blatter is responsible for this decision not to use electronic devices, some other fossils are also responsible. It's just a group of too old man hanging on to the past. Hanging on too the past isn't always bad in sports, tradition is also part of sports. But they don't know where tradition ends and progress starts.

And Russia.
Interestingly the decision to go to Brazil in 2014 should be somewhat questionable as well due to the way they won it. Basically FIFA said the tournament was going to South America and Brazil was the only serious candidate, despite not having 1 suitable stadium and other serious issues. I get the idea behind FIFA's rotation policy but as is the case with Qatar, sometimes the idea is better than the reality.

FIFA has many fails but not using electronic devices is not one of them. The only situations where electronic devices can be used in football is in whether the ball crossed the line or it didn't. This should definately be used in major competitions where these devices are already available for use.
Offsides could never be ruled by using electronic devices because you can not overrule a flagged offside. How would you resume play from the moment where game was stopped? If electronic devices get involved with offsides, this would be motivating referees to flag offside more and now we have a good rule that, in case of doubtful offside situation, referee should rule in favour of attacking team.

The offside implementation could be very easily introduced by tracking nodes in players boots and allowing for minor advantages.
I don't think you gave it really a good thought and got stuck on 1 tiny problem that also can be solved very easily, if they would really want to :) You sound like Blatter with 'it can't be' ...
1 example that will work for sure:
Give both teams 3 timeouts to use. They can use these timeouts whenever they want during the match. When 1 timeout is used but it was for example no offside, that timeout is gone and only 2 are left. If it was offside then it was a good call and this team keeps all 3 timeouts.
It only takes a few seconds to look back the video replays by 3 referees (ref, 1 line-ref and 4th ref). The reason that 3 referees have to look at the videos is so there is always a majority when voting is needed.
When the referees are doing that the TV-viewers can be showed replays of shots on goal and stuff like that. The TV-viewers won't even notice the timeout as we are used to these replays during matches.
So saying it can't isn't true, and that the current system is better is nonsense, to many mistakes are made to say the current system is ok. It doesn't even come close to ok.

That would be the best solution :) In the Netherlands a company made intelligent artificial grass. It's loaded with censors so everything can be followed, specially when players wear transmitters. Give the ball also a transmitter and even more is known like direction of the ball, speed but also if the ball crossed any line, even by 1mm.
With this system theoretically only 1 referee is needed, the computer can give every info the referee needs. Of course more eyes are needed to see fouls, but even that can be partly recognized by the computersystem as it can easily see if a player slide for the ball or player.
And the nice thing is, both coaches can download the match-data at the end and use this to train the players even better, by showing them the good and bad things they did during that match.
Ofcourse the emotional part of football is almost completely gone as you can't ever say 'it wasn't offline, or it was a goal', as the computer is always right :)

so this will only kind of solution to when offside is not called (this would be a negative bias, advantage for defending team)
what about when its called but it actually wasnt offside? the game is already stopped, u can't go back to the attack as it was before.. impossible...
thus i agree 100% that the only situation where it could be used is to see whether the ball crossed a line or not...
dont compare other sports to football.. its total nonsense... and if u start to, i can also add that the only time they use videos in basketball is to see whether the ball 'left the hand' in time... other than that referee decisions are unquestionable...
and to be honest i like it... thats what makes sports truly emotional

oh yeah, lets also make them wear costumes sensitive to touch, then we will know if player was actually fouled or he just dived
