Football has rules and rules needs to be followed. The moment the game becomes to fast to follow by the refs they need help; electronic devices :)

Ridicules comment! Makes absolutely no sense at all, please act normal. You can say electronic devices isn't a good idea but at least use normal examples.

all im saying that what u are suggesting is equivalent to eliminating referees form the game...

why bother why all those chips and stuff... we could simply have couple more of cameras around, move refs from field to tv screens and 'problem' solved....

A lot more options are possible that are much better as it is now. I think TV is only 1 option and a bit to simple. We have the technology to make it really better and more fair, so why won't we, because of 'a feeling', or something like 'tradition'? I rather see the best win, not the 1 that was lucky because a ref missed something.
But as long as a change is an improvement I think it's great, even if it's only the use of TV images. (is still almost dark-ages but ok, to some a computer is still something exotic I think :P)

u still dont get what sells football....

its all about emotions and traditions.... (there is no tradition in usa and thats why its far away form being popular....)

explain me why else would u go to see a game in a stadium where u cant see a shit, when u could rather stay at home and see everything much more clearly on tv? with different angles, close ups and stuff

why such a huge home advantage exists? players are affected by it even more than refs...

You're overreacting and again using wrong examples. Watching football in a stadium has nothing to do with technology. Technology doesn't rule out tradition, the other way around it does, like you are doing.

Technology won't change the game in anything like your are suggesting, it only makes it more fair. Eyes will always be needed as censors in the ground can't see 1 player hit another, or give an elbow. But all other can be seen by technology, like goals, offside, throw ins, sliding on players in stead of the ball etc. Things that make the game more fair.

And about tradition. Where did the 4th, and nowadays the 5th and 6th ref comes from if the game can't be changed? Isn't that a change already that's not the tradition?

it so does... in fact one of the biggest mistakes was tv screen in football stadiums and replays on it...

if u think its not already changing ure wrong... in fact this is a changing process, fans start to put pressure on refs more, people start creating topics like this, next thing u know we introduce whatever to help refs, then we start getting pressure than some situations are prioritized over anothers so we should use electronics for every decision, then we eliminate refs and so on...

and its already fair, everyone plays under the same rules and same ref

u think of football as just kicking the ball around and getting it into the net, i think of it as everything combined, refs+players+mistakes+atmosphere+diving+fighting and so on....

it is popular as it is, and changes can only make it worse (because it cant get more popular)... if heads of fifa think big they will never change it... and for the right reasons...

I suggest you film about refferees.. It is called Les Arbitres in French and Kill the refferee in English.
