Subject: Eurovision

People can vote on whoever they want and dress up exactly how they want to. I just think it's freaky to dress up like orchs and scream into a mic. But it's Eurovision SONG Contest - so I find a bit problematic that someone wins because of their freaky clothing. IMO they didn't have a show, they just had bunches of special effects, mr Lordi and the other just stood on the same spot on the stage.

I'd say calling a large part of the society freaks are pretty much "down on your level", and rather childish.

Have you ever thought that it was first time when metal song is in eurovision...

Nice work lordi new vote record... It's sad that they didn't broke that 300 vote line. But maybe next year... ;)

I am aware of this - but I find it rather scary that there are so many Europeans voting for such a freak song. That so many people like some absent-minded LOTR wannabes.

About the vote record - obviously there'll be more votes with more countries participating and less countries in the finals. So it's hard to say if that record really is something worth.

I don't believe it's large parts of the society. It really could be down to less than 5 % of the voters in a country who voted for them, but with them getting the most voted they also got 12 points. But the song really was freaky, and the people enjoyed the freaks.. hopeless

You can´t say that ppl are freaks without even knowing them. And btw everyone isn´t living in the "real, normal" world anymore, it´s totally normal to have something called fantasy.

Insulting who? You call my opinion old-fashioned and ridicoulus and I call the ones voting for Finland in the ESC 2006 for freaks - there's really no difference. So I should get a forum ban for being the only one who don't like the Finnish song? That'd be bullshit

They most surely are freaks because of their outfit, but also because of the way they act. I know them good enough to be able to say that they're freaks (funny argument btw - from what I'm saying you imagine how I live my life, but I can't have an opinion about Lordi). People should get back to the real world and relate to that instead of making fantasy worlds up in their own minds.

Do I really have to say that again? I don't call everyone freaks - I just call Lordi freaks as they obviously have some difficulties relating to real life. And then I called the ones voting for Lordi for freaks because they supported the freaks (would be the same thing to call people voting for ie. the Nazi party for Nazis).

This is an insult towards most humans. Please go back to your cave and learn proper English.
