i think that you are blind, if you don't see, that this is a sympathic voting. for example in 2007 serbia won. he became the most vote from the ex-yugoslavian country, and from russia, and from other slavic country.
or check kypros and greece, or turkey and azerbaijan.
hungary has ever ended up bad place at this competition, because we haven't any natural allaince. if we write the best song of the world, we wouln't able to win, because it's not only about songs and taste, but politic too.

In 2007 Serbia got 268 points, of which 136 was given from sweden, denmark, iceland spain, hungary, malta, austria, netherlands, switzerland, georgia, france and poland.(none from their neighbours?) That means these 1/4 of all countries gave them 1/2 of all points. Deserved winner in my opinion?
Of course there is symphatetic voting going on, but my point is that it doesnt affect the outcome of who comes first. It has always been the best. And noone cares about second or third places:P(well except the belgians of course:d)
