-God forbid this ever happens- But everbody would know that if there was no alcohol in this world things would probally been a lot better. There ar so many negative side effects on alcohol that doenst match up against ur "alcohol is good for the society" bullshit.

You can try equalising alcohol with other items on that list including marijuana as much as you want, but, again, you cannot find a list of health benefits such as THIS for any of the other items on that list. So, there is absolutely no positive reasons why marijuana should be legal while for alcohol there are quite a few.

I make my own alcohol from plums and grapes. I have a still. everyone I know here brews it.. but I dont enjoy drinking much. I make it because I have loads of plums and one can only use a certain amount of jam.so we turn it into booze.

as far as I've read, marijuana has more positive effects than alcohol has(this doesn't mean I'm sayin ganja is positive). Not to mention that ur article is full of phrases like 'may be' and 'some scientists believe' and 'More research is needed, however, to draw firm conclusions.' which, lets face it, makes this article almost useless.

I aint eastern European lol I am from UK . I am building a guest house here. my clients would love some nice moonshine man :) also we do organic veg everything free range. I like to sell it to a shop but who would want to buy plums or fruit from trees when you walk the roads here all you see is plum pear apple cherry walnut and lots of other fruit trees you can walk and pick so no one would buy em ./ but they will buy booze :)

Well, you could argue whether arguments in this article are true or not but in the end it really doesn't matter. What matters is that most people believe them to be true. I actually like being around people who drink moderately, I can tolerate cigarette smokers now and then if they ask nicely to inconvene us non-smokers with their smoke but I absolutely do not tolerate at all people who intend to light a joint around me. I will not be around people who do it and I want to keep it that way. Legalizing marijuana would make this intention much more difficult for me. Thankfully, majority of the people share my opinion so we will keep it illegal. :P

i wish i had people lighting up joints around me lol but I gotta admit I do respect people that do not toke. I do know that unfortunately people have the wrong idea about tokers. and they put them down before they get to know them . because of governments saying its a bad thing., one does not have to smoke pot . one can eat it. I used to make cakes from it. and also mix it in food, lovely . and my day use to be very relaxing. it is strange though that its people that dont smoke that have a aggressive or stand offish attitude towards pot users not the other way round.. I find 99% of pot users to be non aggressive and calm. alcohol users are mostly aggressive and violent. mind you not all are that way. and tobacco users are normally nervous and have a problem with quitting.

I like the way you see things Ronny :) that is good .so I must be super fast . cause back in the days they used to say smoking pot destroys brain cells . so I smoked so much in my time I must either have no cells left or only fast ones lol

No, you are thinking wrong here:P u can google them up urself. Just type a similar headline as ur article had. 'positive effects of marijuana' for instance. Click on some trustworthy page and start reading:P

And most people share your oppinion on weed because it is illegal. People are afraid of things that are illegal = they believe what government wants them to believe. Most of those people have seen joints/cannabis plants only from pictures, so it is easy to believe. It would be ok with me if you would be against drugs in general, but u are saying that cannabis is from satan and are meanwhile protecting an other drug that is at least equally bad as weed. U either don't want to admit urself that alcohol is a bad heavy drug/ or u are just looking for excuses to drink alcohol/ or the government has done a good job in croatia:P
