So- I don' t want my future children to watch people using it on a street.

Apart from weed of people I know, I have never seen drugs in my life. And I have never used it in my life. And I want to keep it like that. Same with cigarettes.

Maybe I don't go where the 'right' people are (which I find is a good thing :p).
Indeed, it is very often in the news about drug wars in Latin-America :-(

The "war on drugs" will only fail when the authorities give in, which is hopefully never. I'm zero tolerance on this bulls**t and would be in favour of far more severe punishment.
Hard drugs - Yes. But stuff like ganja is honestly no harm, same harm as alcochol or smokes and trust me, gang wars are not over marijuana:)

If pot is illegal, why aren't cigarettes? See, I can switch the argument. Both should be illegal and we are moving towards that point. I was thrilled recently to see that New York are now considering a ban on smoking outside, what New York does, everywhere else follows.

Yeah because alcohol and smokes are totally harmless. I've seen the effect pot had on a ex friend of mine, it's not harmless in any sense.

I meant it doesn't kill you well if you overused it then I guess it could....You said smokes should be illegal ..but they're not so ganja should be legalised...If they're both banned then fair enough but not one and not the other
I think most pot users are totally oblivious to the effect it has on their personality. The friend I was talking about was a really nice guy, overnight he turned into this angry, arrogant prick who thought he was awesome.
My friends know not to argue with me on this subject, one particular friend chose to light up in my presence years ago, I kicked them out and haven't let them back in since.
