Subject: Major panel: Drug war failed; legalize marijuana

And most doctors say pot isn't dangerous at all; it's even less addictive than tobacco.

Funny, that's what my friend always claimed too. He was also always talking some nonsense about Bob Marley and it was not about his great music. Wait a minute, what did Bob Marley die of? How old was he then, please, remind me?

First of all, one example wouldn't prove anything. Second of all, Marley had melanoma, and didn't want to amputate his toe on which the melanoma was developing.

I was not trying to prove anything. I was being ironic.

Ther's no link. Here's one before you put yours: Marijuana and Mental Illness
Ironic? Explain to me why you gave the example of Marley then.

And there is a link, don't you see the picture?

The whole post was ironic. Sorry if you didn't get it.

And there is a link, don't you see the picture?

No, some pictures and most videos I don't see from work, and some links I cannot follow.
Okay, the picture is basically that cannabis is less harmful and addictive than tobacco and alcohol.

And I think it was quite obvious you were implying Marley died because of smoking pot, but you didn't expect other people to say he didn't die because of that.

No, I believe he died because of smoking pot but I don't want to get in a discussion about it because in the end it's only one particular example that would not prove anything either way.

This is why I posted a link to medical research about marijuana's influence to human mental health but you, as usual, ignore this and stick to some minor thing where you see a chance of being finally right about something. :P

Funny you ignore the medical statements concerning Marley's death. I believe he died because ufo's shot lasers on him.

They say for instance that one joint contains five times more tar than an average cigarette. What they don't mention, is that that means if you smoke 5 joints a day, you have the same amount of tar as someone who smokes a pack of cigarettes a day. Not really objective not to mention that. They also doesn't mention anything about addictiveness...
Here, I found an even better one. It's from the London's Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Cannabis and mental health

It's not funny. Here: "You are right. Bob Marley didn't die because of pot and thank God he smoked it because of his great music." Satisfied? Now let's ask scientists whether it's healthy. Read the London link. It says about addictiveness too.
These symptoms of withdrawal produce about the same amount of discomfort as withdrawing from tobacco.

Other source:

While the scientific community has yet to achieve full consensus on this matter, the majority of epidemiological and animal data demonstrate that the reinforcing properties of marijuana in humans is low in comparison to other drugs of abuse, including alcohol and nicotine. According to the U.S. Institute of Medicine (IOM), fewer than one in 10 marijuana smokers become regular users of the drug, and most voluntary cease their use after 34 years of age. By comparison, 15 percent of alcohol consumers and 32 percent of tobacco smokers exhibit symptoms of drug dependence.

Btw, do you propose to criminalize alcohol and/or tobacco?

"And most doctors say pot isn't dangerous at all"

You're just making this up as you along
Btw, do you propose to criminalize alcohol and/or tobacco?

Tobacco- yes. Alcohol - no.

Alcohol has even positive effects on health if consumed moderately with food. It is enough that minors under 18 or even 21 are not allowed to consume it.
Btw, I am really disappointed. Not a single reply to my "legalize corruption" joke. I think it deserved at least a smiley. :P

I think cannabis should be legalized, because it more harmless then alcohol, and can be prevent use of "massive drugs".
