Brexit already cost the UK billions, before the actual exit. Great idea to leave the EU. And become even more friends with Russia and China, great countries indeed :/ Apparently some have already forgotten how the USSR was, or didn't learn anything from older family members.
And with this president's plan they will loose voting rights in the EU because of not taking in immigrants like all other do. Just as Poland.

There is a problem with EU as they want to control every government that's part of it. There are pros of course (like easier travelling, market freedom, roaming etc.) but they shouldn't interfere in a single country's policy.
That's what referendums are for. For the citizens of a specific country. Not outsiders.
There's too much difference between European nations and cultures and it will stay that way for a long time from now.
EU can't be US. And I think you must accept that it will not be. At least not during your life span.

What is a worthy alternative for freedom and equal rights, without referring to 'in the past all was better' when all wasn't??
You talk about not interfering, so I wonder what your answer will be. Or is it okay 'your' government interfere and limits freedom and equal rights?
Besides, there are agreements between countries, like helping immigrants. This has nothing to do with referendum, all with xenophobia.

Didn't say it was. Ffs we had Hitler and Stalin, slaves, much more wars, Spanish inquisition that nobody expects, Church was ruling scientific researches...past was tough man.
