You didnt understand a thing from my comment. You're like a ticking bomb, an exposed nerve. Everytime someone posts something, and you disagree, we have world war 3. Newton could've prove the third law of motion just by looking at you. Chill man, there's no need to start a crusade everytime you disagree someone. We are different, respect others opinion or just simply ignore them and laugh. You're too tense.
No idea why, but they are hanging performers. What else to do with a lot of money and a party for the rich, I mean gala :/
More than crazy to put a guy on a horse or whatever it is and pretending to eat from throat.

my last comment wasn't the start of ww3, or I think it wasn't (the post with the article). And in written words I can be too tense sometimes, true. Luckily the forum is different as rl.
Artistic freedom. But I can't really see what is happening so can't say anything about the kind of performance and if or how it is misplaced.

dude, I'm stealin' this line!! XDDDD
@charles of course! barbecue isn't just cooking meat! barbecue starts just when you plan it, it continues with a decision to which butcher you will go to get meat.. after careful consideration, meat needs to be prepared with various spices and ingredients even if it takes a day or two!
setting up fire is like a foreplay, carefully setting it up with splinter wood and clean paper (not newspapers ffs, it has lead in it!) then at the right moment putting more hard wood to make a decent and strong fire..
after gazing into the fire for a while and thinking about meaning of life, then place some charcoal to make the heat stand longer!
grilling meat should be slow and with deliberate movements and action, using wine to "refresh" meat or putting out little flames if the start (if using little greasier meat)..
depending of type of meat, it needs to be constantly rolled over or only once..
get a taste of it from time to time to see if it's done..
after finishing, best thing is to let the fire die out but if you are in a hurry, it is ok to use water to minimize risk of fire spreading..
these are the basics! :)

What I also do is spread the charcoal from lots of charcoal to a minimum of charcoal (left to right). Lots of heat to crisp the outside, turning it to the rightside so it ends up with a low heat to be sure the inside is also okay without burning the outside :)
With my 'new' bbq in the garden this won't work that well, it's round and a bit small. So for bbq-ing I will maybe use my other one, and use the round one for fun (wood burning in the evenings).

What kind of bbq do you have? My old one was a flat top and bought a new one with hood last year after my wife's insisted it "looks great". Never used a bbq with hood before, but its a gamechanger. Especially when im doing fish, its insane. Now i ordered this teflon foil to do veggies, cant wait for them to arrive

But yesterday i've seen a hood bbq with charcoal that can reach up to 350C. Thats crazy stuff.
I had several, with and without a lid. Now I have something like this, a bit longer. Before I moved last year I was living in an apartment without much space to store large things, specially after my girlfriend (and her mountain of stuff :P) moved in a couple of years ago.
My mother and brother also have a good bbq with a lid, a Weber. It's indeed very different. Now that I again have more space, maybe it's time to buy a new one and use the old when going somewhere. Easy to carry with me.
But we also have this in the garden, the previous owners left this in the garden. I have not yet used it so maybe it's fine for now.

I had a cheap one in the past. Couldn't really regulate the airflow, just a tiny bit. And at the bottom it got full of ashes too quickly. Not that great at all. This summer I will try the good one when visiting my family.
The most easy bbq was this shape, easy to turn meat from left to right.
