What about Madeira?
2018-06-08 16:19:56
Two weeks ago I was 10 days in fuerteventura. Interestingly, there are many people from Holland, Germany, Poland....over there. How do people in these countries know about the Canary Islands?

You're kidding, we are beeing flooded by holiday offers in Canary Islands, Tenerife, Costa Brava, etc.

Spain is a save country to visit for holidays, and we (the Dutch and many more) are looking for good weather. So 1+1 ;)

France
Germany
Spain

This is the top 3 holiday countries of the Dutch.

Canary Islands are best know for Tenerife, party island. When people get older, they visit the other islands. Less party, more food and beach.

On La Gomera, many old Germans live there during winter. Probably it is relatively cheap to buy houses on that island.

And where all these Polish people come from, I think Poland ;) Now being able to travel because of better incomes, thanks to the EU!

Thanks to the EU!

Indeed, also cheap :D

I mean, an apartment for max 5 or 6 persons on the Costa Brava for less than 40 euros a day, before high season starts. Fly ticket to get there and back for less than or just over 100 euros.

EDIT: and another thing, I don't like scary animals that can kill me, big and small. No such things in Spain :)

A colleague of mine went there and told me it is beautiful! He loves Portugal, the main land and the islands.

We thought about it, but the downside, my girlfriend understands Spanish, we both don't know any Portuguese. It is handy to be able to understand and even talk a bit with the locals.

Dutch tourists are the worst ones for our economy :-)

They realy often come with all their food and drinks and quite never buy anything when visit us :-p

When visiting France, they take everything with them in their cars, caravans and campers :P They are indeed famous for it, pindakaas, chocoladehagels, everything goes with them. But they do pay toll, that's at least something.

When flying to Spain, not that much fits in hand-luggage (you don't think I book extra luggage when flying to Spain, all must be affordable ... cheap :P). Luckily I don't need Dutch food to survive 2 weeks in Spain.

BS, their coin is directly linked to the euro. You know this as well, no reason to make up things.
