That first time check appears to have upset Andy Schleck. The latest (unofficial) word is that Evans is a mere 12 seconds off the yellow jersey with over half the course still to ride.

Awesome time trial by Evans, he flew over these 40km. After that stroke of bad luck and two 2nd places, he deserves it. :-) Andy's time will come.

Congratulations to Evans, really deserved victory, pulling all Tour practicaly without team.
Not really fan of his but he impressed on Alpe d`Huez when he pulled alone group of faveorites trying to reduce gap behind Andy Schlek.

It was on the Galibier, but yes, it was fantastic that performance was the real decider.
