wow...Australia against South Africa in Quarter-finals :)
NZ will surelly enjoy this...

If they were logical, it's one of the worst results for NZ. Only thing worse would be having to play both South Africa and Australia. When you end up with the #1,#2 and #3 side on the same side of the draw, it can only lead to problems.
Australia were very average tonight but I guess it further proves you give the whistle to Bryce Lawrence and we're going to struggle more times then we perform well. A few of the penalties issued really could have gone either way at times.
Ireland scrapped away and got a deserved win, but they still didn't really impress me or look like a team capable of winning the world cup.
It's also not guaranteed that Australia and South Africa will meet in the quarters, it could well be that Ireland lose to Italy, or that Samoa/Wales finish ahead of South Africa. Still looking likely though.

i think ireland will win group C with this result and Australia will face winner of group D, SA most probably...NZ was going to face SA anyway in the semifinal but i don`t see any difference between you and the boks lately
wel, the boks surely have a beter level of play than their last tournament and imo its getting better and better. Ireland on the other hand doesnt seem too convincing ... (nor does scotland btw).
Only reason the Springboks ran the ball was because they'd already piled on the points from Fiji being unable to catch the ball from their aerial bombs.
Australia has beaten South Africa twice this year already, can't see why we couldn't beat them a 3rd time so long as we don't play like we did against Ireland, that was terrible.
Wouldn't say either Ireland or South Africa are home yet, both have at least one more game they could lose.

Glad they didn't. I'm still hopeful that France beats NZ, which would mean that Australia played South Africa in the quarters but then avoided playing either England or NZ until the final.
