Incredible Cobo! Hope he is clear..
2011-09-04 17:53:21
he will be ;)

Was in the team with ricco and piepoli (those 2 failed the ant-doping) but he was clear has hell
2011-09-04 19:17:46
Nobody is clear in the top 50. Only one and a half stage left where GC can change.
2011-09-04 19:21:13
a lot had changed last years !
you can defintly see it in the results
Belgium, French and dutch cyclists and from other country's
they can compete again with the top climbers like before (Merckx, van looy, zoetemelk, ..)

and also climbing times are slower..

edit: but there are of course Landis, Kohl - etc. Personally I can´t say I am 100 % sure that all contenders are clear.. Maybe they recently were but maybe there is already new preparation coming in the view..

I would be the first to suspect something wrong with Cobo...but hey, he is not a nobody with no historie...he is just a great rider....but today he was awsome.
Wiggins totally collapsed, and it looked to me that the following group has lost time due to falling motos...
but great race and very nice vuelta....it looks not done yet as sky is a team that can deliver on coming aswell...
Who the hell is FROOME anyways... someon?

I don't really think that cycling start to be clean, it's enough to watch the avarage speeds.
2011-09-05 18:30:09
There's no dope for speed ;)
2011-09-05 20:09:23
Uuhm

Cycling is the second most controlled sport in the world behind track and field.
Last 3 years less cyclist where caught than for example 2005

it's a lot cleaner than before, you can definitely see it on the average speeds and so on
2011-09-06 03:42:33
no dope for speed, but for stamina and strength there is; and even sprinters will have advantage with that; they can train much harder and faster and built up muscle..and recover quicker..
Cycling is a lot cleaner now...

Damn, they don't spend enough time on the Vuelta. First real climb of the day is already over. Now only the finish is left ...

to be honest the whole covering could be done better that is more professionally; camerawork and orginisation can be done better...and ofcourse we want to see entire stages....and not have eurospot firs tshowing snooker or reruns of old crap...come on!

so who is this FRoome...how come he is so strong....he doesn't look that much....lookslike luke perry....very lightly built...
also daniel martin looked okay again...Mollema was there...and Wiggins bit disapointing...nuf said bout Nibali...liquigas needs a better rider next year...who is it going to be? Froome?
2011-09-07 21:55:14
I really hope Froome

It was known already by the insiders he could climb well and could be a great climber in the future (if he's 28-30) , but nobody expected this. Like this and so soon but as a sky fan i really like this.
Best race of this Vuelta so far

If vuelta and Giro had the same amount of money like Tour they can.
But that's the problem, I like the Giro more than the tour, more spectacular roads
2011-09-10 09:07:59
Yes I always liked the giro, especially for the easy access, and easy to follow along with a camper.
In Tour this a real problem, people are fucked up there.
But this year the tour was a good match....and I like the big set up and very good coverage.
The vuelta has a lot of growth still in it; and can be of great iomportance for Sain to prmte itself , as it will need become a resort for elderly rich european pensionado's anyways...having set up villages with casino's and stuff in their own desert like Vegas...
Also we need back the germans as a Cycling country...with coverage and with a major team/sponsor.
Who will get Froome, and can you buy him for just this one big result and make him your main man?
2011-09-10 11:21:58
Froome will always stay in Sky
He is a Britain, in a British cyclist team.

I Would let him try to win the giro , if he has a very good result there also
let's go to the Tour de France as main man

But probably not in next year, they will prepare for the Olympic Games.
