Making money in Skyrim is pretty easy with the lots of stuff you find, so you can buy all houses available and decorate them. ;) Best are the one in Solitude (and most expensive) and the one in Markarth.
I also decided to do the main quest only after i reached lvl 50 or something and its really really bugged. I managed to open the door by going out and entering back the room where the guy is, but even if i managed to do that, i couldn't do after that something else, so it really pissed me off. There is probably going to come a patch to fix that.

I wish there was some kind of dummy to put the armor sets on them so you can have a standing set of armor somewhere in the house
just like you can put the swords and shields on the walls

You can put armor on dummy, you just need a better house, the one in Windhelm has 3 dummy's :D well you have to upgrade it ...
really?? next time I'm playing skyrim, I buy a new house :D
to be fair, I haven't seen much of the cities yet
travelled through the north and south, a bit of east
west is still an unknown territory for me :)
hm...as for the towns, Whiterun obviously, Riften...and one other that I don't remember too well
that's how I play Morrowind games to be fair - I explore the 1st city thoroughly but the other cities - not so much
it's because of the quests I guess, you get a lot of them in every city and I want to make all of them so I decide to finish all quests in the first city before I go to another...
hm...is Windhelm the one with a big stone bridge? if so I've been there...

one more reason to finish my glass set and make it all shiny with magic :))
Got an ebony set on one of those. Looks pretty impressive. :D
lol smithing alchemy and blocking @100 and i have only visited whiterun of the big towns
i think it should be nerfed a bit in updates

Judging by the level, you haven't done much exploring by your own, concentrated on the main quests/guild quests, right?
I have higher level, but to be fair I'm close to broke :p spent a lot of money on the ingots while going to the 100lvl smithing, then spent a lot on soul gems while going to high level enchanting...

You shouldn't be beggared doing that. Buy iron ore, not ingots, and change them into gold. Then make jewelry and enchant them with the weakest soul gems available. You buy those empty and go hunting with a soul snaring weapon. (Put the enchantment on 1 second!) You'll make money that way.
Anyway, if you need a lot of money fast: start brewing potions.

I know, I just don't care. Didn't need the money before, but I can get it easily when I decide to buy a house for 25k or something like that. I have about 25 gems, sapphires etc., 10+ necklaces, 20 rings etc. just didn't bother to smithe them and enchant :).
