I have bought 6 horses now. All have met their end by a small drop. Not dragons or bandits.
I'm gonna buy it aswell as soon as my PC is running again (probably tonight) and I finished BF3 (probably tomorrow) :D
I fell off my horse, down a mountain (invincible shout), and someone tried to rob me at the bottom.
Owned him, then got attacked by an Ice Wraith.
Without Borris, I lost.

Easy way to get levels and smithing skill:
Go into all blacksmiths.
Find their stock of iron ingots and leather.
Take it all.
Craft a good 50-60 iron daggers.
???
Level 70+ Smithing :P

I made my archery and destruction a bit higher by luring mammoths and giants near a castle where I went on stairs and attacked from above
bit boring though :P
bit boring though :P
I had to go into a giant camp to retrieve something - apparently my invisibility fails badly when opening a chest, leaving me a bit screwed. I've become a 50+ lockpick/sneak now, only pickpocketing is boring to raise (I only pickpocket stuff I want) while lockpicking is just great, and sneaking is necessary for a thief :P
Also got 60 onehanded, due to my dual wield swords (Chillrend and a Superior Blades Sword) - blocking is for wimps :P

nothing beats a staff in one hand and a proper fireball in the other ;)
lockpicking is fun, that's true.
I'm not really sure how sneaking&stealing works - can you steal things from houses and no one will find out? can you lockpick houses without getting a bounty?

If you crouch and wait for hidden to pop up, you can then proceed to open the door harmlessly. (There is a perk that allows you to do it in plain sight.) Another way is to pickpocket the key and let yourself in.
If the door is locked, anyone who sees when you are inside will not take kindly to your presence. Unless you have invisibility/high sneak, just go in when its day on a sunny day and it should be fine (save before going in if you're in doubt)
Stealing goods is ok as long as you are 'hidden' whilst crouching - selling stolen goods requires a fence though (Thieves guild'll get you plenty of those).

Just to clarify: a locked house at midday is generally safe to enter. A locked house at midnight: near impossible.
sounds logical as almost every person is hanging around the town/guilds etc. during the day
thanks a lot, will make the game even more interesting
Battle Mage Thief Archer Raizzle - sounds pretty sexy. :P

When it rains, people stay inside though ;)
I've built up 10k just through ransacking towns in the last hour... considering becoming an assassin with the Brotherhood: its what honourable leaders of the Companions do :D
The only magic I use is the pathfinder for quest targets, mages are too mainstream :P

Dark Brotherhood was the best part of Oblivion, I hope it's as good in Skyrim :].

did everyone get attacked in the beginning of the game by a member of Dark Brotherhood with a note saying that you must die?
