Subject: Link PC to TV with wifi

I have a smart tv (wifi) and a laptop. I can open video's for example from my laptop on the tv. But I want my TV to be used as a screen for my laptop. I know I can do this with the use of a HDMI-cable. But can someone explain me how I can do this wire-less?

You can't.

You can, but just with special devices afaik (eg wireless hdmi kit) But that's pretty expensive and not worth of it...

You need the right equipement to do this, but it is very hard to get hold of it in the Netherlands. :)

Also, it depends on what you want to do exactly. Most solutions for PC to TV support VGA, which is fairly low res. Internet browsing is ok, but e.g. viewing forums is not really possible.

interesting question. why you want it wirelesssly?
just get a long hdmi cable?

besides that a good option, and probably just as good is get a wireless keyboard and mouse. so you can leave the laptop hooked up on the HDMI so its on the tv, but you can use it from anywhere with the wireless mouse and keyboard.

they cost around 25 $ so its not too expensive either

Wireless keyboard + mouse + 42 inches monitor.. :D Its sooooo nice.... it a desktop pc however, so i dont need wireless..... but i imagine the not having a long line laying all-over solving is not worth using so many money on for the user asking..

just an alternate solution.
there are media streamers which would stream movies. e.g how xbox can connect to home network and play movies from online pc etc..
i dont know of one which just lets you use the pc... never considered it since i had what i had

they (i assume) only have wifi meaning they can connect to the internet via it.

what he wants is to have what he does on laptop happen on tv screen but via wireless connection...

I think the Samsung tv can do that. And the other is a tv not necessary anymore as it is a mobile phone tv beamer :)

I have a Samsung TV with WiFi and it is not able to just act as a wireless screen. The WiFi connection can only be used to do streaming of videos over the network or browse the internet.
