Do we have a discussion thread for SOPA somewhere? Could have quite far reaching consequences if the lobbyists manage to get it passed...

For example if Google blocks Switzerland(legalized piracy which means almost any page could fall into piracy category) what good would that do?
It would be a massive blow for the concept of World Wide Web. And a massive blow for the economy of USA, noone would want to make business with US companys when it could expose them for US legal parties.

I guess USA is just sailing towards China, which is quite sad.

Commercial giants are pitted against each other - to me it looks like Web 1.0 (publishing) vs. Web 2.0 (participation), with Web 1.0 trying to regain ground through the legal system.

Not likely this video is for real as the attack won't be a surprise anymore, but Anonymous needs to be taken serious and PlayStation already did, but Sony didn't ....

Anonymous group 'targets personal data of company executives'

PlayStation recenltly withdrew its support for SOPA, yet Sony's other music and film divisions support the bill.

Everyone can make videos and announcements and claim it comes from the Anonymous group, but many videos and announcements are just fake. Normally they don't tell anything till it's done ;)
