Subject: Ready for the most racist tournament ever?

2012-06-01 15:03:41
I'm not so sure. The problems with football fans in some countries are huge. The BBC has made documentaties on Italy in the past as well. If you pay attention at the end, it clearly shows issues in England as well. Due to the EC the so called spotlights are on Poland and Ukraine. I know from my own research the stuff you see is not an exaggeration. As said before, the point is not to make the people look bad. The point is to expose the malfunctioning of the government.

You omit the most important fact about the English story of resolving their problem with football hooligans. Their problem was first and foremost those of hooliganism and racism was only secondary.

Actually, racism was a real problem in English society, one that intensified after WOII. This was even more a widespread problem in Football (fans, managers, players), not just with the hooligans. It was also "common people" shouting racist abuse and throwing objects at "non white" players. This happened often and on a large scale, not just by hooligans.
The measures I refer too were specifically addressing the racist abuse. Next to that there were measures against hooligans, but most of those came a bit later...
Actually most people outside England do not know this about the history of English football, because the emphasis is put on the "English Disease".

(In a way racism is still a problem in England, but today most people are intolerant towards racist behaviour, where in the 60's and 70's they were indifferent or thinking it was not harmfull)

There is always too many people who want to help only by giving advice. Advice are always in abundance. Offer your help or shut up.
I'm not offering advice but wanted to offer context to why there is special interest from the English Press in racist behaviour in Football and why it upsets fan organisations and players like Campbell.

if you could spend half an hour of your life on watching bbc's document, please watch this video, it's only 3 min long

Watched it, but it makes me wonder if Michael Ansley really watched and listened to what Campbell said.

Campbell never said Poland or Polish people are intolerant.
Campbell did say he did not wanted to live "in a country like that" after watching the film about Ukraine.
He also would not advise families to travel to Euro2012. (Where you have to keep in mind that England plays in Ukraine, so their focus is on travelling to that country)

So what is the point you try to make towards me?

To everyone :

We are not attacking Poland/Ukraine as nations or people ! So stop feeling attacked and defend this racism act ok ?

We are attacking the racist's in the documentary and the goverment/Polish ukraine FA who arent doing enough about it !

We als understand that this is a minority of your society so stop the hussle.

The documentary only states that among polish/ukrain hooligans this racism is getting bigger and more people that follows it, instead of feeling attacked try feeling disgusted about those people!

I'm not trying to defend anyone - please show me exactly where I did.

here

I can only say that I agree that Jihad Legia was inappropriate and I was expressing it on Polish forum

BUT I wouldn't in any way connect it with anti-semitism.

I accuse them of socially destructible behaviour, therefore as them being the criminals

You defend the criminals indirectly by denying that the problem even exists... and thats the whole story of this topic.

We accuse the criminals, whether its the video or anything else, and you then deny the problem as if it didnt exist, which means they are no longer criminals

this essentially following the same logic: Lets say there is a murder of some kind, and someone is accused of poisoning that person. His lawyer on the other hand tries to prove that death was natural and murder didnt even happen, even though there is a trace of poison in the body (aka the video).

If you cant follow the logic and this is still not 'defending' then i feel sorry for you....
2012-06-01 19:39:00
And then you try to privide 'evidence' that it doesnt exist by giving us your arguments based on experiences which have nothing to do with the particular case.

giving me a video of a nice Polish family who is peaceful would only be a valid argument if i was trying to accuse every single Pole to be racist, which is clearly a faulty statement.

you cant prove that it doent exist by giving me examples of where it didnt happen. There is evidence that this happens, which is shown in the video, whether its cut or not, there is an actual footage of this happening, and ure still denying that it happens...
2012-06-01 19:46:13
the only way you can prove that is there is no problem is by providing evidence that the footage in the video is fake. Let it be thousands of actors or anything else, its up to your imagination, but as long as you dont have any evidence of it (which you still fail to provide) it is still your imagination and nothing else.
2012-06-01 19:49:18
and you dont like my condescending tone?

ok here you go. I once though of you as of a clever person, but you proved me wrong, by failing to follow simple steps of logic.

Dude I think you have no clue what are you writing,murders,lawyers...lol.

The footage in video is not fake,it happens all over the Russia,Ukraine,Poland,Serbia,Greece in many countries, thats how our football fans scene looks like. Some are normal some are racists(low %). As some other things for other countries are normal, here are not,and vice versa. I dont say its right to be racist or anything else. But here is how it is,and on evey WC,EC were people attacked and injured, thats how it is! If you like it come and watch it,if not then dont, who cares about you (not directly you,you as plural).
