And after the 1954 Worldcup win the german fans sang the first phrase of the German National anthem (the one with "Deutschland über alles"), not so funny. It is said they did it because they were used to it.

Well in Germany we have some of the toughest regulations to get a citizenship just for your information.
If someone has a german passport he is german, my grandmother was from the Czech Republic she immigrated with my grandfather after WWII, does that make my father or me any less of a german than someone else with a german passport? Certainly not. So you are being ridiculous.

If you were born and raised in Germany, it seems to me you're pretty German. Wherever your parents come from.

And you can be born outside Germany and still be German. If you were born in former German territories and your parents are German, it seems to me you're pretty German too.

That is rather difficult. There are a lot of people in Germany who have french or polish surnames from immigration during for example Bismarcks time. Or germans who lived in eastern europe (Romania, Russia, Kazakhstan and so on) and have the right of a german passport because of their roots (which is good I think). Nowadays there are people from often islamic countries who come to Germany because of the wealth we have over here. But as long as they associate with the german culture and are born in Germany they have the right of a passport (not always as simple as that) which is ok too imo.

Personally I agree with you, as long they have German citizenship, grew up in Germany and have a German mentality, they have to be considered Germans and eligible for their NT.
