True, but the championships in 1934 were in Italy. And I remember reading that Mussolini put pressure on the referees, which paid off both in the quarters and semi-finals. I also remember reading that in 1938 Mussolini had been very clear to the Italian players what would happen if they came back from France without gold metals, so Hungary lost the final on purpose to save the Italian players.. :) Ok, the latter has to be a joke. As was my comment earlier. This is a different world we're living now.

But who will win today? I bet we'll see a goal before 120 minutes.
