Subject: EURO 2012 - Poland & Ukraine
Poland is in trouble. I'm affraid they won't stand much of a chance against the Czech Republic and Russia is just way out of their league.
Now Poland has better keeper in next game because that Arsenal keeper is so overrated.
I saw some bad decisions by Smuda today... leading 1:0 in the 17th minute... and Poland started playing defensively... :-] wtf? to "keep the scoreline"... :-] as oppose to do what Russia did with their total-football minded approach, meaning "destroy the opposition".
Then a Greek player gets a red card... Poland was still playing defensively, but badly (or with no confidence), Sooner or later a defencive error was inevateble, because Poland is not Italy.
Second half, 1:1 it happens... but what then, no reaction from Smuda.
Szczensy off, no reaction from Smuda... did they play so well that he was happy? or what? Actually I also think Szczesny did what he had to, to stop the greek attacker, iF he didn't "catch him a little" it would have been 2:1 anyway, so he tooK thE neccesary risk, and lucky... it payed off, staying 1:1 till the end of the game.
Poland has some very good players on the bench, Mierzejewski, Sobiech, Grosicki... but Smuda didn't use any of them, because he wanted to save the point, or I don't know what?
But also, why didn't he let a defensive player on? oh, I know why... because... he called-up two more offensive players, and Poland doesn't have any central defenders on their bench, only a 19yo rookie in Kaminski. ;-[
Wasilewski is great and Boenisch too, but their were little slow in the second half. Obraniak had a very poor game. Rybus didn't show much of him either.
On the brighter side... the only Polish attacks came from Piszczek who had a good game, but he also left some holes in the back line. The Borrusia Dortmund players goal was very nice :-)
I just wonder how many will Russia stick into the Polish goal, esspecialy with no Szczesny in it. :-(

Piszczek was our best player, no doubt about it. Everty goalscoring situation = Piszczek

Poland is a very good team and surely will play a very good match against Russia and czech...

I can't see the Czechs doing much, defensively they looked awful and Cech is very overrated. Russia will demolish Poland and Greece though.

it might be a small bloodbath during Poland-Russia...it's said that there are 30k Russians, if they all go to the fanzone, I'm not sure I want to be there...
