Subject: Which is the most beautiful language? And the ugliest?
It has influences from German but the base is the latin that was spoken during the roman empire.
I have heard it once when I was in Switzerland, but the people who speak it usually also speak a german dialect, so I talked in german with them.

its quite more closer to latin, than other modern languages, because of isolation of these people in the mountain country of Alps...this language was minimally evolved during centuries and people are proud of it...you can consider it as hybrid of Latin base and modern Italian and bit of German language

it's not latin it's a romance language.. and yes people speak this language as their mother tongue mostly in kanton Graubünden .. there are about 35'000 speakers...
Since I'm living in Switzerland I hear it often .. it sound's like a mix of Italian and Portuguese language.

wow great, so i would understund a little that language too ( i can understund the general meaning generally in portuguese and italian)

heh, 1st sentence I learned in Portuguese is: "Tens oilos bonitos, e cara bonita....e mamas bonitas" :) I was really surprised, but it works very well there :)

german is slightly harder due to 4 cases and some differences in changing verbs trough persons (ich, du...)

Dutch is also fun then. Not too many rules ... but probably 87 pages of exceptions to them :P
