Subject: Olympic Games 2012 - London

What if you're born when your parents were on vacation? Or if your dad worked 2 years in for instance Singapore, you were born there and then moved back to the Netherlands. You'd be pretty Dutch to me.
Btw, first white man that wins a medal at the 10km since Seoul '88.
Obvious those examples are Dutch kids if the parents are also Dutch and not permanently emigrated.

What a night for British sport!

Typical that I went to the GB vs South Korea football match instead!
Nvm, found it.

To be honest I don't care about Olympics anymore...I only watched 1 voleyball match and that's it.

Olympic games with passport-trading where GB is made of almost whole world, some people representing 3 different countries in 3 consecutive Olympics, weird decisions of refs

where's any fun in that?

That's why i don't have a country feeling in sport, @ the belgium forum they don't understand why i support nearly always for sporters off other country's.

I always support for people i like (Team Sky (GB) - Usain (JAM) - Hoy (GB) -Tamgho (France) - Löfkvist (SWE) - Klishina (RUS) - Silje Norendal (Norway) - Eaton (USA) - Travis Rice (USA) - Borlee (BEL)

I like it when belgian wins but it's not it makes my day :)
But when for example Usain wins tonight against Blake it really makes my day :)

And in belgian we have a hurdle runner (Eline Berings) and i really don't like her.
she thinks , she got everything but in fact she is not that beautifull and not that good

so i don't have that feeling of nationality

One of my favourite moments of the night was when a group of 4 or 5 Koreans (there were hardly any there, so many Brits!) were all shouting "Daehan Minguk!" then clapping. The crowd was so fed up of negative football that all the Brits started clapping along with them - the Korean man looked like he'd die of laughter!

100m and 200m and the relay are clearly my favorites races from the athletics... i heard that usain bolt at the beginning of the olympic games wasn't 100 % fit, just ~ 85-90 % of his best, because he just recover from an injurie, but he's improving every day... that's a shame, but still will be very hard to anybody to beat him if he starts well in the first 20-30 m... to me blake seems to be his greatest opponent at both races... at 4X100 jamaica have a great team, USA must be settle with silver i think... this is the fastest track ever, hope to see even new WR on at least on of this 3 races :)... can't wait too :)

Impressive performance by Murray - absolutely deserved win! I think Federer can be satisfied with silver, there was simply no way to beat Murray today :)

Bolt is just a marvelous athlete. Also feel sorry for Powell, such a good fellow and gets an injury in the final...bad luck for him...

superman bolt wins again :X... 2-2,5 m in front of everyone, wow... i think that if he improves his start and has a perfect day he can even go under 9,50... he hasn't show everything he can yet for sure :)
