Most politicians don't think further than 4 years. Not only is it important whether you can pay the debts today, but we are still paying for that debt in 10-15 years. (with fewer workers and more retirees).

For all debts that you make (because you refuse to save), pay the people interest.
The problem is that some countries repay their loans with new loans. At the end the government paid 3 or 4 times the price of the real cost of the measure they refuse to take.

and into this ill system banks flow next money, ... because they know that somebody must save them.

I would like to see how Greece go to bankruptcy and start again without loans (also good for them) and all that banks which were abusing Greeks will end for ever :-) OK, maybe too dangerous, but not impossible :-)

And now ask the Greeks what they think about it ...

Big loans can be repaid, just look at GM in the states.

we received many money from EU before eastern countries coming there, and i think we have more voice than eastern countries, sure this pic is made by an eastern humorist xd
