you dont have problems with them, if they have polite behaviour and dont think silly thing like "kosovo is not serbia" :-D

we have same problem of "minority" who feel like slovakia is not slovakia... but ok, this is maybe much far of European union topic :-)

For me, Kosovo is a fully independent country. I understand you don't like it, but we ( I mean the whole Union, except Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Slovakia and Romania, ) have accepted Kosovo as a country. A majority of the citizens living in Kosovo voted for independence, so I don't see any reason to consider Kosovo a part of Serbia.
Kosovo has big history, a lot of serbians give their life for it against Turkish....
just population changes change the situation, but map can not change just because of population.

well it's obviously not whole union as so much countries are missing. you are probably just watching over your own ass as you are one of those few that would like to separate from belgium so supporting kosovo traitors is something that could work in your favor

keep working on it and try to justify something that just can't be justified.

In fact, I don't know enough about Kosovo to give a good explanation about my opinion. I just said what I think about it now. I think every nation who considers itself as a different nation than the country it is living in should have the possibility to have their own country, if their nation is substantial enough ( I mean not for 100.000 people who want independence ).

No need to attack me personally mate, I give my opinion, I have the right to do so, so don't get pissed if I do so.

And few is relative. The biggest Flemish party is a separatist one.
map can not change just because of population.

You think the Serbs were in that area first?

Btw, you talked about minority in Slovakia. Were you referring to Rusyns?

EU should solve that problem, EU know history but if US says "do it" EU just listen to.... and we all know that jokes about talking in white house "who is EU president, who has number for him" and so...

EU if really want be strong and proud should have bigger influence on their own territory.
But EU has big problem, a lot of states, a lot of chief and everybody has the best idea but everybody want to his state has also good relationship with US...

Including more younger members into EU was (imho) good step, to EU can be stronger :-)!
But some people can say.. bullshit, small nations are not important :-)
no magyars... but I dont want to talk about this.. !

There was no doubts who belongs this territory, just after year there was not majority Serbians but albanians... maybe some Serb or Albanian can tell more us :-D but maybe this theme is for another topic, some closed topic :-)
You say there are many states, which makes the decision making process of the EU difficult, but you want more states? Weird. US is irrelevant in this context.
When were the Serbs the majority in Kosovo?

In order to change the ethnic composition of Kosovo, between 1912 and 1941 a large-scale Serbian re-colonisation of Kosovo was undertaken by the Belgrade government. Meanwhile, Kosovar Albanians' right to receive education in their own language was denied alongside other non-Slavic or unrecognised Slavic nations of Yugoslavia, as the kingdom only recognised the Slavic Croat, Serb, and Slovene nations as constituent nations of Yugoslavia, while other Slavs had to identify as one of the three official Slavic nations while non-Slav nations were only deemed as minorities.

EU have voting rules... and laws.. but what about laws about financial discipline.. a lot of states not keep it and EU had no punishments for them, so a lot of EU laws are just on the paper.
(ok last laws was make also for some punishments)

EU should have stronger rules, so some "different opinions" of just one strong country can not be allowed if majority dont agree.

But voting problem is not because of new members, they have small number of votes.. old countries have very often various opinion... germany, france, italy and others...

So if we want EU, we should make strict rules for it... that was the point :-)
look more older history :-)

population changes take a lot of time....
I did, what I've read, there were first Illyrians. After the Romans came the Albanians. Then ( 6th century ) Serbs conquered it. Than there were tribes than were pretty much free. Then ( 12th century ) Nemanja created Serb Empire.

So yes, Albanians were there for quite a long time.
